Promote sport and fitness activities to encourage community participation in healthy recreation in Dundonald Recreation Ground. Encourage involvement of local school children in tennis programmes both during school time and after school hours on weekdays and at weekends. Encourage involvement of individuals of all ages and abilities to develop and extend their tennis skills.

Somali Parents? Initiative (SPI) is an education charity located in Lewisham. SPI offers a number of services for the local community. Their main services are after school club, homework club and holiday club. We provide a Christian holiday club for children in Burnham and the surrounding area, in conjunction with local churches of all denominations. We are run solely by volunteers and do not charge to attend. At Lessons for Life we believe education changes everything. In sub-Saharan Africa over 93 million children are out of school and just 25% of those that go to school complete their education. So, we work with local partners to help thousands of vulnerable children in Africa access a quality education. Since 2008, we have helped over 85,000 children, family and community members.

We are running an after school project for young people.Young people from the black African community are benefiting from various activities including tennis table play, pool table, computer game, Nintendo play mentoring, professional advice, and guidance. This project is mainly targeting young people from Africa living in Bedford but no exclusively the wider community.

Money is provided for students after school leaving age when they are persuing further or higher education or an apprenticeship.

Parent/carer's of V.I. children meet on a regular basis to support each other, to share and discuss various issues related to them in a friendly environment.Aromatherapy is provided to the carers to de stress themselves.The charity also runs an out of school Urdu/Arabic Braille Club for V.I. children, where they learn Arabic Braille skills, mother-tongue to be able communicate effectively.
