Therapy Dogs Nationwide is a non profit making organisation, managed entirely by volunteers.Therapy Dogs have been found to have all round benefits for people in hospitals, hospices, residential homes, schools, prisons, care centres etc. Volunteers are all registered with the organisation, their dogs are all temperament assessed and are covered by the obligatory insurance for visiting.

Refocus provides crime prevention workshops, prison visits, tailor made programmes & mentoring to vulnerable young people aged between 8 - 19 , who are excluded, on the verge of exclusion, not in education NEET, in gangs & involved in criminal activity in London and Kent, through ex offenders and ex users who have turned their lives around and have developed their full potential as youth workers.

To promote the rehabilitation of ex-offenders for the public benefit by working with people from a range of faith communities in the United Kingdom to develop and maintain an infrastructure which supports those leaving prison so that such people are integrated into society to lead law-abiding lives

Our principal aim is to support the care and treatment of the single homeless.The reasons for their being homeless vary, but may include ill-health, those who are discharged offenders, drug and drink addicts or other adverse circumstances in their lives.We financially support hostels, drop-in centres and the like with grants.

Education through drama projects for long term prisoners

To relieve the needs, suffering and distress, primarily(but not exclusively), of serving and former personnel of the emergency services, HM Prison services and other such governmental and non governmental agencies and charities as the trustee think fit, who are suffering or at risk of suffering from mental trauma, PTSD, or other mental health conditions through the provision of a listening service

The Charity makes grants to charitable organisations in England involved in the following:1.The education and development of young people. 2.Supporting young offenders and those at risk in order to assist their participation and inclusion in society. 3.Supporting and protecting the physical and mental health of people with cancer, dementia and/or physical and mental disabilities and their families

Support disadvantaged young people to build healthier lifestyles, focusing on those facing lack of achievement at school, exclusion, in care, caring for relatives, ex-offenders or those at risk from antisocial behaviour, those going through transition, & those involved in teaching or providing nutrition to youth in the UK. Our key message is that good food does matter!

Samaritans provides completely confidential emotional support 24-hours a day by telephone, face-to-face, email and text, at festivals and outside our centres in prisons, hospitals, schools and workplaces and with the homeless through a network of over 200 branches in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Birmingham Samaritans acts as one of these branches.

We train up people in recovery from drugs/alcohol (and commonly ex offenders) to go into Schools ,Colleges ,Youth Offending Teams and Police Recruit to educate Young People and professionals around the issues of addiction, drug dealing , criminal exploitation and county lines. We also run two supported houses in the Anfield area of Liverpool for people often coming straight from prison.

BACO aims to help offenders break their cycle of criminal behaviour and reintegrate back into society as contributing members. We work with the Prison service and Probation but independently of both. We provide small grants to serving prisoners resident in Buckinghamshire's prisons, ex-offenders and those released on licence into the county of Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.

THEY WORK ALONGSIDE PRISONERS, EX-PRISONERS AND THEIR FAMILIES, OFFERING PRACTICAL, SOCIAL, RELATIONAL AND SPIRITUAL SUPPORT WITHIN PRISON, THROUGH THE GATES AND OUT IN THE COMMUNITY.THEY USE PAID STAFF THANKFULLY SUPPORTED BY VOLUNTEERS.
