The Civic Society aims to improve the appearance of the area by preserving what is good from the past and by encouraging high standards of design in new buildings. The Society checks and comments on all planning applications which concern listed buildings. It organises a programme of lectures and field trips, helps fund conservation projects and publishes a newsletter three times a year.

A village hall for the use and enjoyment of people living in Therfield and the surrounding villages. Focus for community activities. Regularly used by groups within the village. Focus for a range of events and activities. By its use is an integral part of village life. Available for all.

Run the Old bell Museum in Montgomery. Hold quarterly talks/lectures on topics relating to the historical and current environment of the town and area. Take an active concern about the architectural heritage of the town.

We run a village hall, providing space, both inside and out, for a variety of community activities to serve our rural community.

Scouting - Working with young people aged 6 - 18 on a weekly basis. Games and activities, including camping and other outdoor activities, working towards badges, helping in community activities.

the activities undertaken were to support and help those charities which had been involved with, and affect the lives of, the staff of Nexus Infrastructure plc and its subsidiaries. The staff wanted to show their appreciation for the help they had received and to raise money to contribute to these charities. The charities to benefit from the trust are nominated by the staff.

Provide facilities to community groups e.g Ladies, Youth Line-Dance, Gardening, Tai Chi. Provide a facility for occasional users: Local Elections, Comm. Council Meetings, Funeral Teas, local celebrations. Provide talks on heritage, poets, environmental issues. Provide a monthly Coffee morning for the community.
