A Rural Youth movement for young people aged 10-26yrs. Members can gain confidence and recognised Skills in Public Speaking, Sports Competitions, Drama and Entertainments, Stockjudging and Stockshowing/Presentation, Dancing, Duke of Edingburgh, meetings and social events, Fundraising.

The maintenance of the rural environment and heritage of the historic town of Topsham through the preservation and enhancement, without any permanent buildings, of the Goat Walk Land for the quiet enjoyment and pleasure of the residents of Topsham and visiting members of the public at large.

Sainted Roots is a community-led, social enterprise. We generate income from our capacity building programmes driven through agriculture. This income is invested back into the community that generates it. Each community is led by their selected village committee, whose role is to represent their views helping to target our support.

Donated six Blood Pressure Monitoring Machines to two Hospitals in the Akim Kotoku Area of Ghana.Contributed to a rural electrification fund to a village in the Akim Kotoku Area of Ghana.Awarding Scholarship to very needy students in some Akim Kotoku Area Secondary Schools. Contributed to the purchasing of books to Oda schools. Donated used Bicycles to very needy areas in the Akim Kotoku Area.

Undertake activities to enable women interested in issues associated with rural life, to improve their education in citizenship, public questions, music, culture, handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare and to improve rural life.

We perceive our vision as relieving poverty and implementing sustainable development for people affected by the civil war in Sri Lanka. Deprived parts of this community in Sri Lanka and the UK will be supported by financing home farming or cottage industry projects, education, sports and training facilities, safe water supplies and promotion of sustainable environments (waste recycling).

The PTA raises money to sponsor a variety of activities to extend pupil opportunities at the school, e.g. they sponsor curriculum transport (due to the schools rural location this is very expensive and due to this sponsorship all pupils can participate), the school shop, buy equipment to enhance learning, etc.

East Quantoxhead Village hall provides the only social centre in E.Q, a rural village in West Somerset. The hall committee raise funds to provide a place where residents from the local area are able to meet and avoid the social isolation that can be prevalent in rural communities. Craft, Yoga, live music and charity events, bingo,quiz evenings, and a popular monthly market and cafe take place.

Outland Opera was founded in 2021 to provide site-specific performances to people living in rural locations, where opera is not normally performed. Outland works with local people to create its work, which is based on local and regional history.

The Management Committee (Trustees) run the Village Institute for the benefit of the villagers and aim to offer a range of social activities on their behalf. Fundraising activities take place regularly with the development of the hall's facilities as the primary aim in order that the Hall can continue to function as an integral part of a small rural village.
