A rural charity for young people aged between 10-26 years, where they can learn new rural skills and achieve confidence through public speaking competitions, stockjudging and running their own club and fundraising for themselves and the local community. Members also learn to participate in team events such as sports, drama and entertainments, choir and dancing. This is a member led organisation.

The charity provides funds for staffing and facilities for a medical centre in rural Pakistan and two ambulances for patients of surrounding villages. A 500 gallon filtration plant has been installed for free clean water to the public. The charity provides funds to run treatment camps in remote villages in collaboration with other local organisations, e.g. for eye testing and treatment.

We are a UK-based charity whose aim is to relieve sickness and financial hardship for persons in the rural areas of Ogun state, Nigeria who need medical treatment or assistance, in particular those requiring knee or hip replacements or those suffering from sickle cell disease.

Skilgate is a small rural village located on the edge of Exmoor and has a small but diverse group of residents ranging from 1 year to 90 years of age. Skilgate village hall provides an important meeting place for the residents and gives them the opportunity to interact in a range of recreational, social and fund raising activities. Various fund raising events are held to maintain the hall.

The main purpose of the WI organisation is to enable women who are interested in issues associated with rural life including arts, crafts and sciences to improve and develope conditions of rural life. It gives women the opportunity to work together and put into practice the ideals for which it stands.

A rural youth movement for 10-26yrs. Members can gain confidence and recognised skills in Public Speaking, Drama and Entertainments, Sports Competitions, Stock-Judging and Cattle showing/presentation, Duke of Edingburgh, Dancing, Meetings and Social Events.

Children in Hope supports educational and rehabilitation programs for disabled children run by Life Aid Centre an NGO based in Tiruvallur and Parameswaramangalam village in Tamil Nadu, India. Children in Hope supports Life Aid Centre and other NGOs to promote Education, vocational training, health care support, women's development, and environmental projects in rural parts of Tamil Nadu in India.

ZaRP links independent groups of 6 volunteers in the UK directly with poor rural communities in Zambia to help them improve their food production. The volunteers make small interest free loans to their partners in Zambia and phone monthly to provide encouragement. Zambian partners, currently all women, are selected by a training partner in Zambia who also provides them with training.

We operate in a small rural village

We aim to preserve and improve a small 11thC church within the village of Edlingham. The church also supports the local rural community and is the only focal point within the village. We organise events to improve community co-hesion which take place within the church which is lacking basic facilities.

The main activity of the Association in the past year has been:1. To promote the advancement of agriculture, horticulture, rural crafts and the breeding and rearing of livestock. 2. To hold an annual show for the exhibition of livestock, farm produce, horticulture produce, machinery and implements. 3. Generally to encourage education, skill, industry and good husbandry in agriculture.
