The main purpose of the womens institute organisation is to enable women who are interested in rural issues to improve and develop conditions of rural life; to advance their education in citizenship, cultural subjects, sports and all branches of agriculture, handicrafts, home economics, health & social welfare and uphold WI ideals.

Youth Organisation

We combat poverty by supporting income generation through beekeeping. We provide hives, training and equipment, manufactured locally, to give communities the ability to create businesses around the sale of honey and other hive products, and to integrate beekeeping into current agricultural practices to maximise crop pollination and increase yields.

Giving of grants to young people to travel abroad to experience different forms of agricultural practice.

The trustees will support charities which particularly reflect the late Mrs J Wilkinson's areas of interest and concern. Particular areas that will be primarily considered relate to the following: - conservation and protection of the physical environment, care and protection of animals, prevention of poverty (especially in rural areas), advancement of religious faith, promoting healthy recreation

Helped voluntary groups and charities with grants, publicity, free websites, IT support, and helping with social media.Promoted health, wellbeing and leisure activities through projects to promote walking, improve access to the countryside for people with limited mobility, and facilitate community arts projects.Promoted good citizenship by facilitating online engagement within communities.

Cater for young persons 10 - 26 years of age from rural areas around Ruthin. Training in cultural and home crafts, plus an opportunity to socialise and compete against other YFC Clubs in the county. Our aim is to try to develop these young persons to become responsible citizens in their areas.

IN YEAR 10 HWT AGAIN ACHIEVED ALL OBJECTIVES: SET UP DEDICATED ONECLIMATE CENTRE WITH 30-SEAT CINEMA. HELD REGULAR SCREENINGS AND DISCUSSIONS WITH LOCAL COMMUNITY AND ONLINE PARTICIPANTS. SET UP TWO ACTIVE WHATSAPP GROUPS FOR ENGAGEMENT. SOFTWARE FOR THE MYCELIUM MAP COMMISSIONED AND UNDERWAY. PRODUCED VIDEO CONTENT FOR THAME COP27 EVENT INCLUDING NEW SUSTAINABLE FARMING SEQUENCES IN UK AND KENYA.

Fundraising PTA organisation based in small rural school

We partner with hospitals in Nepal (including Nepal Medical College and Teaching Hospital and Charikot Hospital). UK and Nepalese clinicians have teamed up since 2009 to complete rural outreach health projects. We offer these communities health consultations, public health interventions and provide referral links. We provide training to healthcare providers according to their development needs.

To further the aims and aspirations of the late Harry Steele-Bodger by awarding a travel scholarship to assist a visit by an individual to a veterinary or agricultural school or research institute, or some other course of study approved by the governing committee.

Weekly meetings and fund raising activities in the Bicester area with members aged 10 to 26

Promotion of research into agricultural, environmental, ecological and silvicultural activities and the promotion of conservation of flora and fauna in their natural state for public benefit.

The charities main purpose is to provide financial benefit to widows, widowers and orphans residing within the parish, disbursements are made annually in December, last year (2012) fifteen villagers received payments. The charities income comes from rent of agricultural land and interest from investments. Records of payments go back as far as 1841.

Countryside Protection

Grants to retired agricultural workers and their dependents living in the Parishes of Ashford, Great Chart & Kingsnorth.

Burmarsh Children's Fund installed and now manages a playground at the centre of our rural community. Our aim is to provide a safe, well maintained playground for the use of the whole community, and to encourage community involvement in fundraising to support the playground.

To provide emergency medical assistance, to the rural area of the Churnet Valley and it's surroundings. We respond to 999 calls alongside West Midlands ambulance service.

Promotion of education and training in agriculture

As a small rural school that caters for children aged from 4-11, we aim to achieve a happy, warm, caring and close working environment where children are given the opportunity to realise their full potential in all aspects of school life.

Training Ugandan youth, with a priority on females, in operating mechanised agricultural equipment, organic farming and in soft skills for the work place. This is done at a Youth Empowerment Training centre, The centre is based in Northern Uganda.

To help relieve sickness and financial hardship, promote and preserve good health. Enable the education of the most deprived people, train poor and disadvantaged people, through activities, such as farming and food processing skills to feed themselves. Provide relief where there is poverty or disasters so lives can be re-built and dignity restored.

The charity's main current activity is through its MAVES Committee (Mid Arun Valley Environmental Survey). MAVES commissions and carries out: ecological research; practical projects for conservation enhancement and enjoyment of the natural environment; educational talks and walks and community engagement projects.
