Hexham Community Association brings together the residents from the Hexham Estate and North Whitley area, with charities and the local authority to work together to help to improve education and employment opportunities and carry out activities for the welfare and leisure of the people who live in the local area and its neighbourhoods.

Provide information, guidance, signposting and referals of clients including unemployed, those facing language barriers and hardship in areas of welfare benefits, housing, employment, health and education. Provide escort, leisure time occupation, interpreting and translation services on behalf of clients.

Y.W.A.F. works alongside other organisations, to support young homeless people aged 16-25, and those in supported housing. We also support many local positive youth initiatives and individuals with education, training and employment needs.

The school PTA is an organisation that works entirely for the community served by the school, which is an area of significant deprivation, unemployment, poor health and juvenile nuisance. The PTA provides events and training for families who otherwise might suffer from isolation and lack of education. These events use the school as the heart of the community and a centre of support.

We relieve hardship for deprived people in the SW of Nepal, helping transform their lives and inspire hope for a better future.Our funds facilitate higher education for young people, especially women, from lower castes. Education helps them reach their potential and improves their life-chances. Employment lifts young people out of poverty and enables them to invest back into their communities.

Life long learning in the third age of life. An organisation for the over 50's, no longer in employment, providing classes in a variety of subjects, lead by members for members. In addition there are monthly meeting with a guest speaker and occasional educational visits.

HAWG actively supports the betterment of the local community of ethnic minority women by providing opportunities for members to access employment skills, education & training, and leisure pursuits. The organisation also promotes and distributes information on welfare, health matters and provides quality of life assistance, in particular to combat isolation..

BTBAB provides Christians with an opportunity to go to the developing world serving alongside the poor using their skills. We invest in educational projects - that empower a person with skills or tools that enable them to be self-productive and long-term projects that transforms communities and reverse poverty, bringing skills and employment on a large scale that lasts for a minimum of 10yrs.

The charity is a set up to help any person with any mobility issues. We take people from aged 14, full training is given. We have a membership scheme for regulars and one-off hire. We work with our volunteers, who often have mental health issues or physical disabilities, to better their skills and give them work experience. We have a second hand bookshop on line to help fund the project.

Providing self-employment opportunities with start-up machinery and advice for families with talented children currently in education.Providing educational needs for children with special needs, providing educational support for children in need in rural schools, and for children after natural disasters to help getting back to school.

The relief of financial hardship, either generally or individually, of people living in third world countries or Eastern Europe by making grants of money for providing or paying for items, services or facilities especially in cases of an emergency (health, housing, temporary unemployment) where an event occurs leaving persons with short term needs.
