The charitable purposes of The U3A are to advance education and in particular the education of people not in full time gainful employment who are in their Third Age (being the period of time after the first age of childhood dependence and the second age of full time employment and/or parental responsibility) residing in Higham Ferrers, Rushden and its surrounding locality.

The objective of the Deer Shed is the advancement of education through training and life-long learning. The Deer Shed aim is to promote skills, build confidence and develop independence in young adults with learning difficulties in Derbyshire. Provision of support service to disabled residents of Salford who receive a direct payment from Salford Social Services. Support services include payroll, recruitment of carers, employment advice, basic accounting. Also provision of a fully supported financial assistance service & act as support in discussions with social services & other professional bodies.

We create bespoke employment, encouragement & support for individuals who have suffered the trauma of modern day slavery. We do that by making fabulous artisan ice cream in Derbyshire. Our small team are trauma informed & journey with each individual to empower & equip them for their future. We raise awareness & speak on spotting the signs of slavery in schools, businesses & our community.

WE PROVIDE ADVICE, INFORMATION AND GUIDANCE, INTERPRETATION AND TRANSLATION TO THE AFRICAN FRENCH SPEAKER PEOPLE LIVING IN UK, SPECIALY IN LONDON, IN MATTERS RELATED TO EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION AND TRAINING, IMMIGRATION, WELFARE, HOUSING AND HEALTH. RUN SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS, ORGANISE COMMUNITY SOCIAL EVENTS, TRIPSRUN AFRICAN YOUTH FORUM AND YOUTH ACTIVITIES SUCH AS FOOTBALL.Promote heritage.

The organisation provides:Work Experience and Volunteering Opportunities, Guidance, Counselling, Mentoring and Signposting Services, Hands on Skills Learning Opportunities for diverse communities of women.

The objective is to provide free or cheap emergency accommodation and nourishment to women or children who are suffering hardship due to breakdown in family relationships. Also to provide, education, training and support to enable them to access the employment market and become independent and self sufficient.

Our activities aim to advance the education of our members and the public, particularly older people no longer in full time gainful employment in Sleaford and the surrounding area through the work of a large number of semi-autonomous interest groups. In addition we provide facilities for recreation and leisure activities to enhance the lives of our members and their social welfare.

Lincolnshire Rural Challenge t/a The Serendipity Foundation aims to support people 16 and over in Lincolnshire who are seeking permanent employment. We provide grant funding, workshops, training and access to mental health support.

Education, social and physical activities for those people no longer in full time employment in the Spilsby area of Lincolnshire.

To support the education and welfare of under priviledged children/young people in Tamil Nadu. This includes assissting an orphanage which provides accomodation and educational facilities. The orphanage also enhances employment opportunities in the local community to relieve poverty. To provide grants to school leavers and young adults to progress to further/higher education.

The orchestra consisting of mostly amateur players provides concerts to the general public and gives young local soloists opportunities to perform in front of an audience. Members include students as well as players in full time employment and is open to new members in the region who can play a classical instrument with an interest in classical music.

ACORN COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION NEWTON AYCLIFFE is a community based charity which organises events and excursions for the benefit of the residents of Newton Aycliffe and surrounding areas. Many of our residents are of low income, unemployed, elderly or infirm. We seek to improve lives by providing experiences which otherwise would be unaffordable for many.

We seek to relieve poverty & financial hardship through grants to local partners in N Macedonia providing food, clothing & winter heating fuel; and to prevent poverty by grants to local education establishments with curriculums appropriate to employment.

The charity supports refugee resettlement in Exeter by meeting the needs of refugees for accommodation, health, education, training, finance, and employment. Volunteers promote social inclusion through sharing friendship, culture and skills. The charity works in partnership with local authorities and faith organisations.

CAFI, promote educational which help to eliminate poverty and disadvantaged amongst the BAME community groups based in Newham/London. Includes: learning and reading, homework schemes after school schemes, job skills development for the unemployed young people to move forward to the labour market and tackle the issues which are facing this group not to participate fully in community development.

Elderly on limited income towards cost of heating etc.3. Those needing financial help resulting from sudden illness or bereavement etc.4. Other Litton Cheney charities eg. School, Church and Community Associations.
