Education Charities That specialise in Further education

Ravensthorpe United Charities own several fields in the parish of Ravensthorpe. The rents of these fields is collected twice a year, and is paid out to the senior citizens of the parish at Christmas, a grant is also paid to students (who apply) for their first year at College.

The aim of the AFCEA (UK) Academic Trust is to encourage excellence in the study of subjects relating to command, control, communications and information systems at universities, colleges of further education and military and civil service teaching institutions.

To fund a six month Fellowship to facilitate an artist in undertaking research and developing their work. During the Fellowship there will be access to the collections of the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. The objective of the Fellowship is for an artist to undertake research and development to further advance their artistic skills and knowledge and to make a presentation to Trustees.

To advance the education of young people, in particular but not exclusively living in Nigeria by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education with particular focus on Benin Technical College as a means of advancing in life and helping young people by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities.

Grants are paid to persons under the age of 25 who are resident in South Walsham, Norfolk, who are in need of financial assistance and who are at college or university or working under an apprenticeship. Grants are paid for clothing, tools, instruments, books or travel expenses.

Ail Gyfle is a charitable social enterprise that produces home and garden furniture and craft from recycled pallets and other discarded items. We offer a safe context for those on the margins to learn life skills alongside Open College Network qualifications in Confidence building, substance misuse, Health and Safety at work, wood working, recycling and building a work portfolio.

Provides much-needed support for the relief of poverty, health, and educational requirements of individuals. The Charity offers further education support, community care, opportunities to raise the standard of living of all individuals out of poverty.

Financial assistance to young people undertaking education or further education

To Assist boys, girls and students to attend schools,colleges, institutions or classes for the purpose of education by contributing towards or paying their fees and/or travelling expenses or by providing them with maintenance allowances.

The Charity's objects are to provide scholarships, tenable at any university, college of education or other institution of further (including professional and technical) education, to be awarded to former pupils of Bishopshalt School, in the London Borough of Hillingdon, with preference given to former pupils studying at one of the universities of Cambridge, Oxford and Reading.

Holds investment assets &/ property to fund the award of annual prizes, scholarships or grants for further education tenable at any college of further education, university or other institution of further education (including professional & technical) approved by Trustees to pupils attending Dallam School in Cumbria.

Financial help to assist study at school or institutions of higher or further education and to help applicants on leaving those institutions (or school) to enter trade or profession. Trustees will give greater consideration to items needed over and above course fees or general maintenance, e.g. books, outfits, specialised clothing,field trips,particular pieces of equipment, instruments,etc.

The charity exists to relieve persons resident in Little Ellingham who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress and does so by making grants of money to pay for items, services or facilities to reduce such need, hardship or distress. In addition the charity provides financial assistance to parisioners for further education or to enter a trade or profession on leaving school.

Burntwood YFC is a local charity providing youth work in and out of schools, colleges and churches across Burntwood and the surrounding areas. We are an independent local centre of Youth for Christ and we work with young people from ages 10-19 years old and up to 25 for those with learning difficulties. We work in accordance with the five outcomes set out in Every Child Matters.

We hold monthly indoor meetings with speakers who educate and entertain us on a wide range of subjects, and we go on outdoor meetings to local places of interest. We raise money for members to go on courses at Denman College. We join in local events and raise money for local causes eg our local childrens hospice.

Grants to Individuals to specified area

The Advancement of Education of pupils and former pupils of Maidstone Grammar School by:(i) providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the school.(ii) by promoting the education by awarding grants for higher or further education or such ways as the Trust trustees think fit by developing such persons mental, physical and moral capabilities through leisure activities

The income is to be used for relief of hardship for residents of the parish. This includes students and residents in need, one part of this charity can be used to provide help for young people up to the age of 18 years for sporting events and equip,ment for school or college purposes.

To give financial support for further education or training to age range 16 to 26 who reside in the anciant parish of St Mary The Virgin, North Petherton, Smerset.

Support Swanmore College of Technology by assisting in the running of events and providing services during College functions by providing teas, coffee, soft drinks and Bar facilities as required
