The Trust seeks to aid the economic and social development of Palestine and to spread knowledge about Palestine in Durham area. We do this, principally, by offering, in conjunction with the University of Durham, scholarships for Masters courses at the University of Durham.

We gather and represent opinion of those studying at Josephine Butler College at Durham University, working with local partners to effect beneficial change. We organise and deliver cultural, sporting, welfare, social and other forms of enrichment activity for students. Jacari's mission is to improve the confidence and English language skills of young people through our free tuition scheme. We work with those who have English as an additional language and are at risk of not achieving their full potential. We recruit and train volunteers tutors from the universities in Bristol and Oxford to provide this free 1:1 tuition to the young people referred to us.

Our charitable objects are ?To advance the education of the public in general (and particularly among students at the University of Keele) on the subject of sociology in such ways as the trustees think fit, including by awarding scholarships for students studying sociology and promoting research for the public benefit in all aspects of the subject of sociology and to publish the useful results.?

The Achilles Trust aims to support the promotion and encouragement of athletics amongst students of Oxford and Cambridge Universities. It supports athletics fixtures of these students, in particular the Transatlantic Series of fixtures with US universities. It can also support other charitable educational purposes, in particular relating to the encouragement of athletics generally.

HYP provide informal education programmes for young people wha are or at risk of becoming NEET.We support YP in making positive life choices, gaining nationally recognised qualifications and moving onto employment or higher education. We provide fun diversionary activities, nurture a sense of self, self belief and worth.

CHEAD provides a voice for and on behalf of higher education art and design in the UK advancing knowledge and understanding in the sector and promoting the sector?s interests to others. We carry out research, brief members, facilitate networking opportunities and specialist internal networks supporting art and design research leaders, Subject Associations, and HE gallery leaders.
