Education Charities That specialise in Higher education

Supporting Dalit Children funds the education and medical expenses of Dalit ('untouchable') children. We also fund social projects to help Dalit children and their families. The charity is run voluntarily, there are no salaries. All donations are sent directly to the schools, university and health centre.

The Objects of the Charity are for the public benefit, the advancement of design in architecture in the Higher Education sector, including but not limited by: (I) The promotion of high standards of architecture and design in the higher education built environment; and(II) Raising awareness and appreciation of the importance of high standards of higher education architecture and design.

General charitable activities

To support the work and development of the Botanic Garden and to stimulate interest through a variety of events and activities. Income generated by such events, and also from membership subscriptions, is used to invest in new projects in the garden, make a major contribution to its upkeep and support horticultural education through the funding of trainees in the garden.

FAST UK is dedicated to raising awareness and money through fundraising and donations. FAST has set a research agenda for Angelman Syndrome by bringing together a multidisciplinary team of more than 2-dozen scientists from top research universities and pharmaceutical companies to join forces on a path to a cure. FAST UK works solely in the UK with counterparts in USA, AUS, Canada, Italy & France.

Promotion of the Christian religion and service to the Community as part of the Church of England, including weddings, funerals, baptisms, seasonal services and responding to need eg food bank, homeless, Christian Aid. Maintenance of the Church (open each day) and Church Yard. Ministry at the hospice, university, residential homes, schools and community space in our buildings

Donations are made to students in higher education, including scholarships; to organisations involved in community work; to the arts; to the promotion of reading including dyslexia sufferers.

The Charity provides additional benefits for the St Clement Danes Church of England Primary School and financial assistance to former pupils who are in further or higher education or learning a profession who have not yet reached the age of 25 years. After assisting the above any residual income may be allocated to young people under 25 years whose family home is within the Diocese of London.

To improve the speed and pastoral quality of medical care for sick children in the UK by increasing thenumber of compassionate Paediatric Nurses, Doctors and Consultants through awarding grants to helpfund progression through higher education.

Activities of the Lelung Dharma Trust include helping Tibetans in a number of areas; creating greater awareness of Tibetan Buddhist culture and religion; organising teaching and meditation courses; providing sponsorship of monks, nuns, school children, university students and the elderly; the preservation of the Geden Phacho Bhucho lineages and publishing the works of the 5th Lelung RInpoche.

Provide grants to charities or other non profit organisations or individuals identified by the trustees at their discretion focusing mainly (but without limitation) on education in the UK. Our charity supports social mobility through means tested bursaries, raising awareness of and preparation for university education and the furtherance of good teaching.

To provide items, services and facilities to George Green's School on the Isle of Dogs, London E14, including grants for such as, games, music, prizes, educational visits and to students going to university, also to act in respect of the trust's land and buildings.

Raising money to benefit people in Laos, and to support them to attend College or University in their home country or abroad. The operation of the LEOT school in Luang Prabang and the support of the local community through community projects.

THE CHARITY AIMS TO PROVIDE THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WHO ARE CURRENTLY JUNIOR MEMBERS OF WILLIAMS COLLEGE, WILLIAMSTOWN, MASSACHUSETTS, USA AND PROVIDES FINANCIAL AID, ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES AND INDIVIDUAL TUTORIAL SESSIONS WITH FACULTY MEMBERS OF OXFORD UNIVERSITY, AND IN PARTICULAR IN CONJUNCTION WITH TUTORS AT EXETER COLLEGE, OXFORD, FOR A COMPLETE ACADEMIC YEAR.

Oystermouth Castle is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and Grade 1 Listed Building. Access and presentation is supervised by this charity which promotes the history and heritage of the site to visitors and provides a venue for many school, college and university students. The castle hosts Medieval Re-enactments and Living History Societies which recreate aspects of life during the Middle Ages.

The trustees' principal activity is to expend the charity's income in the following main areas:1) In education, by supporting promising pharmacy students who maybe in finacial difficulties, via hardship grants.2) By funding teaching chairs, research projects and university awards programs, with an emphasis on community pharmacy initiatives.

The RE Council's object is the advancement of education through the promotion of Religious Education in schools and places of further education and higher education.

The Safer Living Foundation (SLF) is a joint venture between senior members of HMP Whatton and psychologists from Nottingham Trent University, with input from National Probation Service (East Midlands) and Police. The social mission of With Insight is to advance the educational and professional prospects of black-heritage students by providing, in particular but not exclusively, mentoring that builds the confidence, knowledge and soft skills that they need to progress to top third ranked universities and into professional careers.

The trustees continue to be guided by the objectives set out in the CIO Association document. The trustees are mindful of their need to be apprised of current developments in the treatment of leukaemia and related blood cancers and are therefore in continual dialogue with medical staff at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
