WE PROVIDE SUPPORT THROUGH MENTORING, EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT TRAINING, LIFE-SKILLS DEVELOPMENT, COUNSELLING, COACHING, IN-SCHOOL PROJECTS AND HOLIDAY PROVISIONS.

THE CHARITY ASSISTS ORPHANED OR VULNERABLE YOUNG PEOPLE IN RWANDA BY PROVIDING ACCOMMODATION, FORMAL EDUCATION OR VOCATIONAL TRAINING. THEY LIVE IN THE ?FAMILY HOME?. THEY ARE TAUGHT KEY LIFE SKILLS SUCH AS FOOD HYGIENE, BUDGETING AND PERSONAL HEALTH. THE AIM IS TO EQUIP THE YOUNG PEOPLE SO THEY WILL BE ABLE TO MOVE OUT INTO THE WIDER COMMUNITY AND INDEPENDENTLY MAKE A LIFE FOR THEMSELVES.

THE CONGO TREE RUNS A LIFE AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME WHICH USES PEER-LEARNING TO DEVELOP SKILLS IN CREATIVE PROBLEM-SOLVING, STRATEGIC FUTURE PLANNING AND SELF-DIRECTED LEARNING.THE PROGRAMME BEGINS WITH AN INTENSIVE TRAINING RETREAT, ONE FOR LEADER MENTORS AND A SEPARATE ONE FOR YOUNG LEADERS WHO ARE THEN PAIRED UP IN A MENTORING RELATIONSHIP FOR A MINIMUM PERIOD OF 12 MONTHS.

Education & Activities with retired people. (i.e. no longer in full time employment.)

To promote the Christian faith, organising deliverance services, all-night vigils, special prayers and counselling. To raise the profile of the Charity in the local community included picnics, Mothers' Day and Fathers' Day celebrations. To relief poverty in the areas of training and mentoring of the unemployed.

To provide advice and information on welfare benefits, immigration, housing, education, employment, training, debts, health, finance, nationality, businesspassport and other areas as necessary. Also to provide advocacy for clients.To organise community events such as Independence Day, Eid Celebrations, International Mother Tongue Celebrations.

WE PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, IN PARTICULAR, BUT WITHOUT LIMITATION BY PROVIDING ADVICE, TRAINING, COACHING AND MENTORING TO STUDENTS AND YOUNG PERSONS AGED 13 TO 18 YEARS.

Within the school and wider community, we organise and deliver fundraising events. We raise money for a variety of equipment and activities for the benefit of all children attending Highfield School, which the school is unable to purchase from statutory funds. We support the development of new opportunities, including work experience and enterprising activities.

To advance education and in particular the education of people not in full time gainful employment who are in their Third Age (being the period of time after the first age of childhood dependence and the second age of full time employment and/or parental responsibility) residing in Hawkhurst and its surrounding location.

Art-Alive work in the community, with young vulnerable adults to develop their artistic skills, and continue this work when they are released from prison or hostel or left. We provide them with basic skills and art training to support and guide them into productive work either in paid employment or full time education. Majority of the work of art-alive is focused on the youth in the community.

Lifelong Learning provided to those living on the Flower Estate and in the surrounding area. Activities include IT classes, English, maths and craft sessions. Childcare supports a limited number of sessions.

Registration of therapists and counsellors. Promotion of training including webinars and infant observation. Running peer supervision groups. Mentoring. Provision of therapeutic services to the public.
