Environment Charities

The charities objects are to foster and promote the maintenance, improvement and development of artistic taste and knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the arts among the inhabitants of Spelthorne. The main objective of the charity is to continue to successfully operate and manage the Riverside Arts Centre premises.

Advance education for the public benefit in economically disadvantaged rural communities in developing countries through the provision of education. Promote for the benefit of the public the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment in particular by conserving endangered wildlife andecosystems.

(1) The advancement of animal welfare through the provision of veterinary and rehabilitative care for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife for release back into its natural habitat where possible; and (2) The advancement of education of the public, specifically concerning the welfare and conservation of British wildlife species.

(a) To promote for the benefit of the public the conservation, protection, and improvement of the physical and natural environment of the land owned and/or managed by Grith Pioneers, by conducting a variety of environmental improvement and woodland management activities.(b) To advance the education of the public by providing access to the natural environment for camps and outdoor activities.

The Trust is for the benefit of poor people who through ill health, disability or old age are unable to earn their own livelihood; for educational and training purposes; and for the benefit of hospitals, nursing and convalescent homes or similar objects for the advancement of health or saving of lives. Supports wildlife/conservation projects for the benefit of the local community.

The charity provides an educational programme for schools which is National Curriculum linked with work sheets available for topics at Key Stages 1 to 4. More advanced studies are available for colleges, community groups and the general public. The Centre offeres a unique learning experience which includes looking at areas of former quarrying which have geological or wildlife interest.

A not-for-profit service working in partnership, which collects, collates, manages and disseminates quality information relating to the wildlife, wildlife sites and habitats for Worestershire for the public benefit.

Walks, talks, 'Adopt a Red Squirrel'. General education about red squirrels, their habitat and the animals they co-exist with.

We rescue, care for and rehabilitate wild animals. We also provide a telephone advisory service and promote the care of wildlife.

To preserve, conserve, and protect land owned by the trust, its terrestrial and aquatic life and their habitats for the benefit of the public. To advance public education in the study of and research into the river valleys and their conservation. Conygre Mead is a designated nature reserve and a County Wildlife Site.

Cwtch Baby Bank provides essential baby equipment, clothing, toys and toiletries for newborn babies up to 24 months old. We recycle good quality donations and redistribute them through the referral agents from Health , Social care and other relevant support agencies. This ensures all the donations received go directly to the people who need it.

The Charity enables the conservation of the rare flora of Upper Teesdale by funding research work which will inform future intervention measures at vulnerable sites. It aims to inform the general public about the special flora and the need to protect it. It helps interested volunteers to engage in fieldwork and active conservation measures.

To relieve the need of refugees from war, oppression, climate change or other causes and to relieve the charitable need of other persons in conditions of financial hardship, sickness or distress, by such charitable means asthe trustees see fit, in the UK or overseas, through:Provision of aid, physical goods, services, support, advice, safe and secure environment, arts and leisure facilities.

The Circuit has been involved in worship, prayer and bible studies, available to all. Churches have been used for funerals, weddings and baptisms. Other activities include: coffee mornings, meals, illustrated talks, concerts and exhibitions. Premises have been used by: Mothers & Toddlers, W.I., Girl Guides, wildlife groups, choirs, dance groups, Powys Carers, Action for Children and others.

The charities constitution is to relieve persons in need, particularly homeless and those suffering from alcohol addiction by counselling, volunteering and donations of free furniture.

Climate Change All Change is a primary school programme that blends climate literacy and creative design solutions to address the climate crisis. In partnership with innovative designers, children design buildings, transportation, clothing and products for a climate changed future. Their concepts are elaborated in the designer's studio and given a national stage through exhibition.

Following the closure of our Montessori School, we've evolved into the Future Hope Education & Community Hub, a vital lifeline for young people in Vipingo, where 65% of under 25s face unemployment. Our Youth Group operates small enterprises, including poultry rearing & recycling, while our Football Academy and Feeding Programme support up to 80 children daily with opportunities, training, & care.

We advance the education of recycle and re-use of commercial and industrial waste via our membership with schools,nurseries,community groups etc., and have a community re-paint scheme for members and other groups when we access funding.As funding allows,we hold competitions and workshops also,and look to move forward towards sustainability across the board.

We aim to rescue sick, injured and orphaned British wildlife, rehabilitate them back to full health and release them back into the wild. We operate from in and around the Staffordshire area.

To promote the conservation, maintenance and study of places and objects of botanical, zoologi- cal, geological, ecological or scientific interest in the Parish of East Keswick and elsewhere by:-a. establishing, forming, owning and maintaining sanctuaries or reserves for the conservation of flora and fauna;b. promoting the education of the public, particularly young people.

The Belvedere Community Forum gives the community a voice to access decision-making processes that affect them. In addition it campaigns to support the regeneration of the Belvedere area and organises a number of community activities in order to promote community cohesion in the area. The Forum manages and operates the Belvedere Community Centre and acts as a link with Riverside Resource Ltd.

To promote sustainable development for the benefit of the public:(a) the preservation, conservation and the protection of the environment and the prudent use of resources.(b) the relief of poverty and the improvement of the conditions of life in socially and economically disadvantaged communities;(c) the promotion of sustainable means of achieving economic growth and regeneration.

To promote the conservation, preservation and restoration for the public benefit of the world's animal, bird, fish and plant life and its industrial, urban, natural and marine environmentsof ecological or scientific importance, and its natural rescources;To advance the education of the public in natural history, environmental studies, ecology and conservation.

The charity supports the maintenance of Warnham Local Nature Reserve in West Sussex for the benefit of both the general public and the wildlife of the reserve. We manage the Visitor Centre (collecting entrance fees and providing a small cafe offering), run events to engage and educate all ages, and have funded additional amenities including bird hides and live web-cams.

Saving The Survivors is a charity that has been founded with the single purpose of protecting endangered wildlife.
