QCF is an independent foundation focused on the urgent challenge of climate change, funding innovative, science-led solutions that reduce carbon emissions, remove greenhouse gases from the atmosphere and help the world's most vulnerable people respond to the impacts of climate change, all in pursuit of a climate-resilient future.

The Foundation's main activity is to make grants to UK charities and for charitable purposes elsewhere in the world. The priority areas for its grants are initiatives and projects which improve education, promote the arts and combat the climate emergency. The Foundation does not seek applications for grants and will not make grants in response to unsolicited applications received.

THE CHILDREN'S INVESTMENT FUND FOUNDATION IS AN INDEPENDENT PHILANTHROPIC ORGANISATION, WORKING WITH PARTNERS TO TRANSFORM THE LIVES OF POOR AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES. USING DATA AND EVIDENCE FOR IMPACT AT SCALE, CIFF'S FOCUS AREAS INCLUDE CHILDREN AND MOTHERS' HEALTH AND NUTRITION, CHILDREN'S EDUCATION AND WELFARE, AND SMART WAYS TO SLOWDOWN CLIMATE CHANGE.

CDP works with market forces to motivate companies to disclose their impacts on the environment and natural resources and take action to reduce them. CDP now holds the largest collection globally of primary climate change, water and forest-risk information and puts these insights at the heart of strategic business, investment and policy decisions.

Our core purpose is to help tackle climate change and protect our planet by changing the way things are produced, consumed and disposed of.

CIBSE publishes authoritative, internationally recognised Guidance and Codes and sets the criteria for best practice in building services engineering, with particular emphasis on the response to climate change. CSE seeks energy solutions that engage people and communities to meet real needs for both environmentally sound and affordable energy services. Ending the misery of cold homes and enabling action to tackle the threat of climate change are core objectives.Work is delivered in partnership with many agencies.

OUR MAIN PROGRAMMES SUPPORT:WORLD DEVELOPMENT IN THE POOREST COUNTRIES (ALTHOUGH NOT DISASTER RELIEF) THE ENVIRONMENT, ESPECIALLY SUSTAINABLE PROJECTS IMPACTING CLIMATE CHANGE, CHILD DEVELOPMENT ESPECIALLY PSYCHOLOGICAL RESEARCH AND MENTAL HEALTH AND FOR OUR OWN COMMUNITY, WE CAN ALSO SUPPORT A NUMBER OF PROJECTS IN WALES.

Education and promotion of sustainable resource use, energy efficiency and renewable energy to tackle the fuel poverty and to improve health, wellbeing and quality of life for all. Protection of the environment, relief of poverty and community regeneration through sustainable development solutions, training and delivery, to meet the needs of the present without compromising future generations.

The Community Forest Trust works to support the development of community forestry initiatives including City of Trees, The Mersey Forest, and White Rose Forest. Projects include mitigating climate change through the provision of high quality green infrastructure.

THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE: (A) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT BY EDUCATING THE PUBLIC IN THE SUBJECT OF THE DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, MANUFACTURE AND INSTALLATION OF RENEWABLE ENERGY AND LOW CARBON TECHNOLOGIES (PRODUCTS AND SYSTEMS) (INCLUDING, FOR THE AVOIDANCE OF DOUBT, PROVIDING BURSARIES TO THOSE WISHING TO PURSUE CAREERS IN THIS AREA

(a) inspire curiosity in science through a programme of exhibitions and events, to raise standards in science education for young people and to engage everyone in contemporary science issues, such as climate change and stem cell technology.(b) provide substantial annual funding and state-of-the-art facilities on site to support world-class scientific research in medicine to benefit the public

To contribute to the protection of the environment, the advancement of education and relief of poverty for the public benefit in developing countries, UK and elsewhere, by promoting the use of local sustainable and renewable energy sources.

Trees for Cities is an independent charity working with local communities on tree planting projects. Our aim is to tackle global warming, create social cohesion and beautify our cities through tree planting, community, education and training initiatives in urban areas of greatest need.

Empower Community Foundation oversees, as trustee, local community funds that receive a share of surplus revenues from renewable energy projects invested by Empower Community through, initially Empower Community Solar LLP and Drove Lane Solar Park CIC and New Mains of Guynd Solar Park CIC.

SolarAid combats poverty and climate change by providing access to solar lights in Africa to help catalyse solar markets and eradicate the kerosene lamp. We have created a social enterprise, SunnyMoney, who sell lights via sustainable school networks and local enterprises.

The charity supports, amongst others: (a) the advancement of education, in particular through projects in Africa and by funding research, and (b) the conservation and preservation of the environment, biological diversity and the sustainable use of natural resources, in particular by funding highly scalable, science based, research initiatives to help in containing and adapting to Climate Change.

The National Energy Foundation is an independent charity working to improve the use of energy in buildings in the UK. It does this through undertaking projects, often in collaboration with others; supporting the provision of affordable warmth; providing capacity building programmes, for example in building performance evaluation and labelling; and offering information and advice.

Hold an annual Agricultural Show. Raise awareness and activate and respond to climate change amongst the whole community through the Epic project. As the global campaigning voice for consumers, we are building a powerful international consumer movement to help protect and empower consumers everywhere. We promote the voluntary sector for the public benefit by supporting and promoting consumer rights and work on key issues such as consumer education, consumer policies, climate change and promoting proper regulation of products and services.
