The hall acts as a community centre for the Trawsgoed Community Council area. It is non-profit making run by a Management Committee all of whom are volunteers. The hall may be hired by local organisations or individuals for their own events. It was refurbished in 2006-7 with grant assistance from the Heritage lottery Fund, Welsh assembly and Ceredigion County Council.

We have just completed a refurbishment and are in the process of creating events for the community to attend . We also rent the hall out and help at Rallys to create an income

Our activities are very much community based. A small fishing village, with an industrial history of ironstone mining, and steel works, only a small specialised part of the steelworks remaining (steel brought in by road/rail, from Teesside). High number of unemployed/retired in an area of social deprivation. A good and tight knit community, the village hall provides for the needs of the community

Hawcoat Community Centre is for the use of the general public to hire, it also houses a Pre-School every morning during term time & also is used by several groups and societies such as a mother & toddler group, whist drives, Barrow Savoyaurds, keep fit classes, craft classes and activities, Barrow Townswomens Guild & a Friendship club. We also hold fundraising events for the charity.

To provide a regularly changing selection of adult fiction and non-fiction books including large print editions, to be borrowed by any member of the general public for home reading. Facilities are available on 1 1/2 days per week, with no joining fees or any other charges.

We provide a Saturday school for 6-16 year olds of all backgrounds from 2-4pm at the Friary Community Centre and at the Oaktree Community Centre in west London and we also provide Marimba, African dance and drumming classes. Please see our website for more information!

THIS CHARITY IS A COMMUNITY CENTRE AND AS SUCH IS AUTONOMOUS. ALL THE ORGANISATIONS OPERATING WITHIN THE CENTRE ARE SELF GOVERNING, REPORTING TO THE TRUSTEES ON A TRI-MONTHLY BASIS.

We organise local sustainability events at community centres or other locations within Telford and Wrekin. We organise 'swaps' where the public can bring items to swap or can take items for a pay as you can donation, have an eco library, offer recycling facilities via Telford Terracycle. We invite other eco organisations and individuals to attend our events to share information/activities.

We meet on Tuesday evenings at Wigmore Church & Community Centre in LutonWe play carpet bowls and board games etc from 6.00pm until 9.00pm. We also have outings, dinners etc during the year.

The charity holds events for local residents with the aim of bringing the community together. We apply for local grants and donations from ie local supermarkets to fund said events, we also hold raffles etc. We have been successful and can only improve when we have our own community centre, as we currently hire a nearby building - The Good Shepherd Centre.
