Foundry Street Community Centre provides a secure, sustainable, accessible and culturally diverse space at the heart of Sowerby Bridge, to facilitate a wide range of inclusive activities which are valued and supported by the people of the area and which enhance their quality of life. The main aim of the Barton Road Centre CIO is to address and improve the health and wellbeing of people (primarily) in South Lancaster; to promote and develop intergenerational relations and generally to support our aging local people to live independently in our community for as long as they are able.

Charitable services in Taunton Deane

The current Management Committee voluntarily manage a community centre named the Jubilee Hall, gifted to the people of the Parish many years ago. In 2007 we inherited a mismanaged Charity and neglected centre, since when we have embarked on a major development strategy that includes capacity building, compliance, accountability, community consultations and a structural refurbishment project.

To promote and maintain for the benefit of the area a facility where community activities can be held. These include culture and sport activities such as various forms of dancing, drama and pantomime society, keep fit, snooker, pre school toddlers football, Brownies and Rainbows, mother and toddler groups, board games group, parenting sessions etc.

Operation and development of a Community Centre in the grounds of Christ Church, Ashton-under-Lyne for the benefit of all members of the community. The area of benefit is the borough of Tameside, but the main beneficiaries will be the residents of the Waterloo Ward, in which it will be located.

Deddington Windmill Community Centre provides sports and recreational facilities for a wide range of organisations, groups and individuals in the parish of Deddington and beyond. It caters for the needs of both young and old and is a regularly used part of the social scene in Deddington. It aims to be a leader, locally, in energy conservation sourced from renewables.
