The Friends of Bridge End Gardens provide financial and practical support, restoration, preservation, ongoing maintenance & further development of Bridge End Gardens, encouraging public knowledge, use and enjoyment of The Gardens amenity. Annually, February to December, Friends Volunteers meet weekly on Thursdays at 10.00hrs, undertaking gardening tasks. The Gardens complex have won many awards.

We meet fortnightly to provide activities for children ages 4-14 years old between 6-7.30pm. Activities include: outings to theatre, cinema, parks, field trips, ball games, cooking, craft etc. We also invite outside guests to do different activities and make use of the local community facilities.

The members of the society plant native tree whips on selected sites, each Saturday morning from the start of November to the end of April. And woodland management in the summer months.
