Befriending group supporting Elderly/isolated people in Ivybridge & its Parishes by regular visits, support shopping, taking for walks/ short outings, some practical help, also 'sitting service' to allow Spouse/carer regular break.Ivybridge Caring Volunteers run Ivybridge Memory Cafe providing speakers, quizzes and a sociable atmosphere for people with Dementia.

We hold awareness raising sessions relating to dementia in the local community; we hold events to support people living with dementia and their carers in the local community; we also hold fund raising events in the village of Marden and the surrounding area to help fund the awareness raising sessions.

To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of London and the surrounding area the provision of table tennis and other facilities for recreation or leisure.

Carmarthenshire Therapy Dogs started in 2015 we recruit volunteers working with their dogs supporting people in their own home, in residential homes, hospitals, dementia settings bringing comfort, reducing loneliness and isolation. We also provide therapy dog visits to groups, special health units and children and young people, we have automated pets for people, where real pets are not allowed.

The operation and further development of the William Scott Archive, documenting and recording the paperwork of the late William Scott. It also includes authentication and discoveries of William Scott's works. These are researched and recorded for future use. Generation of income for the Alzheimer's Society for Research by donating income from reproduction rights, copyrights and licencing fees.

Offering a group to carers in order to relieve feelings of social isolation and stress many carers suffer with. Delivering short trips and breaks to carers as a form of respite care to relieve the care burden from the carer. Providing support to carers through group sessions. Increasing awareness of the charitable care options available to carers and raising monies for such charities

The charity runs a weekly cafe in Yateley for people with Dementia or Cognative Impairment. Together with family and carers, people can socialise in a safe and supportive environment. Specialist activities and entertainment are provided and a wide range of literature and support is available to assist carers.

We contribute to National; International and local charities in the community .Our largest local donation was to contribute to purchase a wheelchair for a local teenager and award Dictionary 4Life to local schools. We continued to organise and support the Memory Cafe for locals with dementia Our International donations, were to given to the Nepal and Ebola Appeals

The trustees currently consider grant applications for:-Healthcare and medical research for the treatment and rehabilitation of patients suffering from severe burns or degenerative brain diseases such as dementia and Alzheimer's.-Animal welfare in relation to the re-homing of abandoned or displaced animals and providing shelters for retired or rescued animals.-Alleviating youth homelessness.

Raising money for local, national and international organisations. e.g. local schools, hospitals, hospices, Enfield Alzheimer's Association, Macmillan Nurses, Enfield Crossroads etc.Internationally, we raise money for Rotary Foundation and Rotary Aqua and Shelterboxes.The money is raised through Christmas Float Collections, Firework Displays and events such as quiz nights and charity dinners.

To improve the quality of life of the elderly in Amersham and District.(Amersham Chesham & Little ChalfontSpecifically we run 2 lunch-clubs and have for more than 20 years provided transport for the disabled( both wheelchair & those with assisted mobility) for these clubs , a third party charity who specialism is dementia, & a ladies mid week worship group.We also run a befriending service

To provide a building for the local community to meet and pursue many and varied opportunities in the field of Education, Leisure, Training, Young People with Disabilities, Spiritualist Church, Sport for Young People, Seniors & Community Clubs including Youth Club, Art, Tai Chi, Aycliffe Day Nursery, Children Art & Craft Workshops & Icing class, dementia friendly building with dementia champions.

Collections in Tavistock at Christmas, at Goose Fair annually, most years a Golf tournament at Tavistock Golf Club in May.The Shelterbox Trust is supported, there is an annual dinner for senior citizens,supporting dementia campaign,organising "Youth Speaks" for local schools etc, help afforded when possible to local good causes and overseas disasters.

The Cardiff Museum Development Trust fundraises to make sure the Cardiff Story Museum can deliver a range of activities for all ages and interests - be that our Dinky Dragons sessions for babies and toddlers, our schools programme, our work with diverse communities, our dementia friendly activities across the city or our interactive galleries that tell the story of Cardiff and its people.

Support groups for people with young onset dementia and their carer partners

Aston House is a purpose built 48 bedded care home offering Dementia, Nursing, Respite and End of Life care. The home also provides specialist care for young people with physical disabilities and learning difficulties. The Friends aim to improve the quality of life of the residents of the care home by working with staff, residents and relatives

Our overall aim is to support people living with dementia and their carers in St. Helens. We have a monthly Carers' Support group for both Carers and person with dementia. Monthly Drop in Sessions offering information, advice and signposting to appropriate services. Training i.e.dementia awareness training to local Care homes. Facilitated Sonas aPc (activating potential for communication).

We give grants to individuals raising money for charity, especially those who are giving their own time and effort.We also give directly to other charities.Our priorities are Cancer, Alzheimers, Great Ormond St, National Trust and other medical, jewish, educational, community and childrens' charities in the UK.

Aid for People Foundation (APF) is a developed charity. It supports the children, young and old people with any special needs in particular people with Dementia in the England and Wales.

Ipswich Dementia Action Alliance employs a part time worker to co-ordinate all of the activities of the Alliance. We meet as a Forum every 3 months to hear of the activities of businesses, organisations, groups, volunteers and people living with dementia that are helping to make Ipswich a dementia friendly place, as well as the needs identified by people living with dementia and their families.
