RHWS aims to relieve the needs of people in the South WSest with drug & alcohol dependency problems or who are homeless, single parents, families or elderly, by promoting good health; help with finding housing; and recreational facilities to help improve living conditions. We provide help, support and friendship to women living with and beyond breast cancer. We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7pm at the Cancer Support Centre on Smith Lane. Meetings are lively social events with pamper sessions, talks, visits and cosmetic/clothes parties, but always with time to talk. Our big event of the year is the fashion show, when all women models are from the group.

The charity raises public awareness on the importance of healthy living during pregnancy. e.g. diet &nutrition and perinatal mental health/medical issues that may arise both during pregnancy and after pregnancy in mothers and babies. It does this by holding events, workshops focus groups/seminars that are delivered by appropriately qualified practitioners, in line with NHS guidelines,

Civil war and the HIV/AIDS epidemic have left nearly 2 million ugandan orphans who need help with food, clothing and education. Our charity, with the help of regular donations from our sponsors, continues to support the education and care of orphaned and vulnerable children and families in Uganda.

The Charity's main current activities was that of making donations to Cancer care.

The Charity currently supports the Fondation Franco-Britannique de Sillery (FFBS). This is a French charity which looks after those with a mental health issues and disabilities, supports the professional re-education of young people injured in accidents and provides work in a supportive atmosphere , for which purposes it has a school and 7 workshops.

Support groups

The relief of sickness within the St Helens and surrounding areas, among persons who are or have been affected by cancer and their carers, by the provision of support, information and such other means as the trustees shall from time to time determine.

Provides a place to socialise , exchange information and integrate within the Deaf Community and learn British Sign Language . Groups - Chess , Snooker , Church , OAP , Social Club and Golf Society and Indoors Game are available for members to join .

Records and distributes a weekly talking newspaper and magazine on CD, memory stick and via website to approximately 165 visually impaired listeners in Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and North Cotswolds.
