We assist in the provision of nutrients for the benefit of mothers and children to work to end malnutrition and its consequences among at-risk, hard-to-reach populations, focusing on children under five years of age and pregnant and their unborn child. In the UK, we work to improve nutrition for preschoolaged children by introducing supplementary feeding programmes in underserved communities.

Metro provides people with a vision impairment in the Greater London area with a range of sporting and social activities and opportunities, giving them the means to mix with sighted people with a view to improving understanding of the needs of people with sight, and to provide, where possible, some form of financial assistance to its members to enable them to participate fully in sporting events.

Breast Cancer Support promotes awareness, education, and community-based support for individuals affected by breast cancer, particularly in underserved areas. We run culturally sensitive campaigns to encourage early detection and healthier lifestyles, and may support outreach led by local organisations.

The trustees continue to be guided by the objectives set out in the CIO Association document. The trustees are mindful of their need to be apprised of current developments in the treatment of leukaemia and related blood cancers and are therefore in continual dialogue with medical staff at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

The Restoration Trust initiates and runs projects that connect people who live with mental health issues with heritage, including archaeology, ancient landscapes, historic places and archives. Stimulating friendship, curiosity and imagination, these projects help people feel more human again. We call this culture therapy and want it to become everyday good practice in heritage and mental health

deaf awareness: NE runs a series of sessions and activities from the Linskill Centre, North Shields, to help raise awareness of issues impacting on deaf and hard of hearing people. These session include sign language, lipreading, tinnitus support, deaf awareness training and deaf sports. Hearing induction loops, speech to text and BSL/English interpreters are used as appropriate.

PawPurrs Halfway House rescues cats off the streets and from homes where owners are unable to take care of them. We started in 2020 at the start of lockdown and have grown considerably, gaining charity status in December 2021. We rescue strays, toms, cats in need, and pregnant cats, aiming to socialise and rehabilitate them before they are appropriately re-homed, matching them to the right home.

We run an Outreach service for women and girls who have experienced domestic abuse and other harmful practices. We support them with their mental health and wellbeing allowing them to make informed decisions about their lives. We empower the women to become confident, independent, and self-reliant. We inspire women to support others by volunteering and by providing a safe space to share ideas.

Our activity is the relief of sickness and promotion of goodhealth among those suffering or at risk of mouth, throat and other head and neck cancer by the collation and dissemination of relevant information and support to patients, carers and health professionals. This includes increasing awareness of mouth cancers, support for research, education, advocacy, and service.
