Health Charities That specialise in Hearing loss

We are a group of parents that hold activities for deaf children, young people and their families. Activities include swimming, bowling, megazone, under 5's stay & play, art & crafts for the 4-7 years, and sports sessions for the 4-7 years. We also hold several parties each year and have run educational workshops.

Provision of equipment and support for Deaf Children

The Lowestoft Signing Choir is glad to report we are now able to accept bookings promoting deaf awareness and a positive image of the deaf community. We welcome new & repeat bookings with groups that have now become dear friends of the choir both locally and further afield. It's nice to be back out at events after the last couple of years.

Providing transport for Deaf children to and from their schools. Restoring schools for the Deaf. Running sign language classes for Deaf children's parents. Supplying basic educational material to Deaf pupils & schools. Empowering local Deaf associations/groups. Organising awareness training of HIV/Aids to the Deaf community.

We provide: - Information. Subsidised social events for all the family. Friendly open minded support. Regular committee meetings - all welcome.

Leicestershire Deaf Children's Society (LDCS) is affiliated to the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS). We provide support on all aspects of deafness including communication, education, technology, social and behavioural and cultural issues. Membership is free. We provide social activities consisting of day and weekend trips, Christmas celebrations and youth activities.

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation in particular by the provision of facilities for the playing and the development of Deaf Cricket for the benefit of persons who have need of such facilities due to a hearing disability

The Spalding Deaf Club meets up twice a month to help give the opportunity for deaf people (young and old) in the local and surround areas to come together, socialise and talk about any issues that concern them. Typical activities include fund-raising to provide day-trips out and for any worthy causes related to the deaf world.

The relief of persons who are deaf or hard of hearing in particular by the promotion of the treatment education training employment and welfare of such people in the East Kent Area

The Silent Horn Foundation raises funds both online and in the UK for people who are Deaf and Hard of hearing with a focus on supporting the most vulnerable communities in the Horn of Africa.

We support deaf and hearing impaired children living in the boroughs of Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham and Chesterfield and the surrounding areas of South Yorkshire.We hold regular events for children of all ages ranging from babies to age 16.These events give the children the opportunity to meet their peers.Parents and siblings can also share their experiences to offer help and advice to others.

To preserve and protect the health of those caring for or nursing people with physical, mental or sensory impairment, within the family or home in South American countries, with particular focus on the Republic of Colombia. In particular but not exclusively assisting in the provision of respite services and other support activities.

The group aims to provide babies, children and young people with the opportunity to socialise in a fun, safe way ensuring their communication needs are met whilst also giving parents the chance to chat and share tips and support.

To provide social activities and moral support for local deaf people

Provision of pastoral care and financial assistance for the deaf and their families through the church.

The objects of the charity are to further in every way allowed by law the education and relief of deaf children without regard to race religion creed disability sex or family circumstance.

We hold different monthly events for our families that include activities such as bowling, swimming, soft play, ice skating and indoor trampolining.

Young Sound Vision is for children who live in Stockport, Cheshire who are Deaf/Hearing Impaired, Blind or visually Impaired to help support them and their families. YSV arranges social activities.

Social evening one night a month, outings and Christmas dinner etc. Charitable donations are provided and taxis are paid for some members who are unable to use public transport to get to the Deaf club.
