WOMA provides small grants to individual women in Africa who have been disadvantaged through HIV/Aids, famine or war. The grants are used to pay for practical training to better equip the women to find work and support their families.

Civil war and the HIV/AIDS epidemic have left nearly 2 million ugandan orphans who need help with food, clothing and education. Our charity, with the help of regular donations from our sponsors, continues to support the education and care of orphaned and vulnerable children and families in Uganda.

The preservation and protection of good health of the East African community and other black minority ethnic (BME) groups in London and elsewhere by increasing awareness of and providing cultural appropriate health services in sexually transmitted disease as well as HIV/AIDS, mental health, coronary disease and health in general.

Zimonya looks after just under 100 children (most of whom are orphans) in an area just outside of Harare. Funds raised in the UK are sent to the team in Zimbabwe and used to provide food, clothing, medical care and education. We prevent and relieve poverty; build the capacity of disadvantaged communities; promote social inclusion; and relieve sicknessby working with partners in the Eastern Cape to reduce the impact of HIV and AIDS and poverty on rural communities and some locations in mThatha. We do this by supporting community projects and providing training to community members.

'Teach a Child - Africa' helps orphaned and vulnerable children from poor families living in areas with a high prevalence of HIV/AIDS. TaC pays secondary school fees and provides uniforms and other essentials to help them fulfil their academic potential and escape from a life of poverty.

Retrak helps street children to find long-term alternatives to life on the streets. Retrak recognises their vulnerability and disadvantage due to heath issues, particularly HIV/Aids, lack of education and opportunity to develop as children. It seeks to reunite children with their families and, if not possible seeking foster families where they will find love, security and support

To advance education at universities; to support and enhance the activities of organizations for the benefit of homosexual and HIV-positive people and of the elderly; to relieve poverty, distress and suffering by enabling people to become self-reliant.Operates in the (old) counties of Cheshire, Lancashire (including Manchester & Liverpool) and Yorkshire (all Ridings).
