Health Charities That specialise in Hospital

THIS CHARITY WORKS TO RELIEVE POVERTY, ILLNESS AND DISCRIMINATION MAINLY WITHIN THE ROMA COMMUNITY OF JIBOU. THIS IS VIA THE MONTHLY DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD PARCELS, HELP WITH PRACTICAL HOME IMPROVEMENTS, AID WITH TRAVEL TO HOSPITALS AND PAYMENTS OF MEDICINES/DOCTORS APPOINTMENTS ON AN OCCASIONAL BASIS. WE ALSO PROVIDE CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR ROMA CHILDREN IN AND AROUND JIBOU AREA.

We have a team of dedicated volunteers that provide transport for people going to medical appointments, including hospitals, dentists, opticians etc. We cover anybody who is registered at The Wroxham & Hoveton Medical Centre and also anyone who is registered with the Coltishall Practice and lives in the Wroxham/Hoveton area.Our contact no. is : 01603 784455

THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN PARTICULAR BY PROVIDING COPIES OF THE BIBLE IN VARIOUS FORMATS AND LANGUAGES, INCLUDING AUDIO SCRIPTURE IN A NUMBER OF LANGUAGES TO ORGANISATIONS, CHURCHES, INDIVIDUALS. PRISONS AND HOSPITALS IN THE UK AND ETHIOPIA

We try in a small way to help local hospitals financially.

Regular grants are made to St Peter's Hospital, Likoma Island, Malawi.

Cornerstone, is a local charity set up to help relieve poverty and distress whilst promoting social inclusion and cohesion amongst the people of the Warminster community area irrespective of age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, race or religion. It also provides a mobile service to the community hospital, those physically unable to attend, and those in more isolated communities.

Our aim is to educate people about epilepsy, we offer support and advice for individuals and their family's. We provide awareness and training. We provide hospital volunteers who are based in the local hospitals and they provide support and information.We raise funds to enable us to continue to provide up to date information and to man a helpline.We support anyone no matter the circumstances

HOSPITAL RADIO BROADCASTING, SPECIFICALLY PROVIDING A SERVICE OF SPORTS COMMENTARIES FROM THE MAIN SPORTING VENUES IN LEEDS ON FOOTBALL, CRICKET, RUGBY UNION, RUGBY LEAGUE AND OTHER SPORTS.

Basildon Hospital Radio provide an entertainment and information service to the patients, staff and visitors to the hospital. Most of our programmes are music based with our daily request shows and our weekly programme aimed at the hospital staff being the most popular. We are staffed entirely by volunteers and broadcast 24 hours per day with both live and computer-controlled programmes.

The primary aim of Truro Hospital Radio is to relieve the stress and boredom of patients within Cornwalls Hospitals by broadcasting a lively mix of music, requests, chat and information to the patients 24 hours a day.

The charity provides transport to and from hospitals,surgeries,and various other sites for the elderly or infirm of any age.Services such as shopping or collecting prescriptions are also carried out. Befriending is available if necessary or appropriate.

Provides monetary awards to nurses who have completed their training within the Newcastle Hospitals Trust and who have excelled at both the written examinations and their practical work.

While support is donated to many local charities, such as the food bank, the ladies of the Inner Wheel Club actively enjoy sending shoe boxes abroad. Funds are also raised for overseas charities such as, schools, hospitals, water aid, etc.

We raise funds through our hospital shop, selling drinks and snacks and Bric-a-Brac We also hold an Easter and Christmas Raffle each year. The funds are given to the hospital by purchasing equipment for the ward, physiotherapy unit, podiatry and chiropody unit and other clinics.

With the closure of the treatment centre, the charity in no longer required. The Trustees have agreed to use the balance of funds available, to support other local groups and charities who seek to deliver the same aims as the EGTC. This will be in the form of grants, and when the funds are exhausted the charity will be closed. There will be no more fund raising.

To provide comforts for the patients and consider any requests from the Wareham Hospital for materials or apparatus not available to them (at the time) form official sources.

CHILDREN ENTERTAINMENT, CHRISTMAS DAY PRESENTS TO SICK CHILDREN AT LOCAL HOSPITAL SENIOR CITIZENS CHRISTMAS PARTY,CHARITY WALK TO RAISE FUNDS FOR LOCAL CHARITIES

The charity raises funds by various means, for example, subscriptions, donations, coffee mornings, etc. These funds are then donated to the local community hospital for the purchase of equipment which may not be budgeted for under the NHS.

To provide support to the Centre for Reproductive Medicine at the Assisted Conception Unit, University Hospitals Coventry & Warickshire NHS Trust.

THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND THE DISTRESS ARISING THEREFROM BY THE PROMOTION OF DRAMA, MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT FOR PATIENTS AND SIBLINGS OF HOSPITALS, HOSPICES AND CARE CENTRES.

To give assistance to the hospital in obtaining any necessary amenity which may be desirous in carrying out patient care and comfort within the hospital and also to support the community nursing staff to enable them to perform their duties in a professional and caring manner.

Provide transport for those unable to attend hospital, dentist etc or shopping

To relieve hardship among persons of the Jewish faith in Dorset and Hampshire. To visit Jewish patients in their private homes in hospitals and in nursing and residential homes. To provide aid to charitable causes as the committee may from time to time decide. To give support to the Bournemouth Community Hebrew Congregation. All of the above apply where reasonably possible.
