The charity was set up to preserve, restore and maintain Trafford Mill which is a Grade II Listed Building of public and historical interest, particularly from the Industrial Revolution. We open to the public on national open days and hosted events, along with personalised tours to interest groups. We operate in the building itself, which is a fine example of living history in today's climate.

Our primary aim is to establish and maintain an archive concerned with topics of educationalmerit relating to Milverton and its district, such as its history, development and agricultural,industrial and social past and to make this all available to the public. We are actively seeking premises to store and exhibit our collections.

The trust aims to collect as much information and artefacts as possible in connection with the Kennet Valley area during World War II. This is put into the museum at Littlecote House, Hungerford, Berkshire. The intention is use the information, artifacts and displays in the museum to help educate all age groups and nationalities to the history of the Kennet Valley in WWII.

To support educational activities in respect of Sibton Abbey. To support research into the history of the site of the Schedule Ancient Monument above.

Support of a restored industrial heritage working museum at the site of the Lion Salt Works in Marston, Northwich, which was the last working open pan salt works in the UK and is now a scheduled monument. Also education by the interpretation of the history of the site and former proprietors, the heritage of salt making in Cheshire and elsewhere, the science of salt and related products.

Swavesey Festival Ltd aims to strengthen community links locally through events including music, drama, recreation, history and environment. All can participate & see the range of activities available.The Festival committee allows local clubs & organizations to demonstrate their skills in Festival Week every two years, while holding fundraising events throughout the period.

We have actively sought to raise the profile of the Theatre and recruit new members to our Friends group by organising history talks with local groups. We have attended events with our exhibition stall. We have run fund raising activities such as sales and continue to hold theatrical events.
