The Friends help with the cost of purchase, restoration and display of artefacts, carry out fundraising and promote the Museum through events, activities & publications.

The Housing, Care and maintenance of the Wolseley collection. The provision and arrangement in the wolseley room, or elsewhere of lectures, talks etc on subjects of argiculture and horticulture, garden design, history of places and lands in sussex and the history of old agricultural customs. Purchase of books, letters, maps etc and other objects of interest to be added to the wolseley collection.

Horwich Heritage has 150 members and runs a Heritage Centre which is open 6 days a week. It runs a full programme of talks, walks, trips and produces its own publications, films and exhibitions. Through its wide ranging programme of activities it supports all the local Primary Schools and local people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities with information about local history and heritage.

The charity is considered the oldest musical institution in Reading, Berkshire with a history that dates to 1899. IODS Theatre Company CIO is a community musical theatre group. It is the incorporated version of Ipswich Operatic and Dramatic Society, a charity that has a long history of high quality theatre productions.

The Radnorshire Society is concerned with the old Welsh county of Radnorshire founded in 1930. It organises an annual programme of public lectures and excursions. It maintains an important local history archive and library and publishes its own 'Transactions', incorporating new research and archive material. There is a Field Section which co-ordinates separate talks, research and field trips.

The promotion of interest in and preservation of birds through conservation activities, field trips, indoor talks, the production of literature etc. and through collaboration with other interested parties such as the RSPB, BTO, local natural history groups and local government.

The NNA maintains a documentary and photographic record of textiles located in the community throughout the United Kingdom. The archive is used for research, and helps raise the profile and esteem of textiles housed in public, or semi-public places, and those owned by community groups or associations. It highlights the historical, sociological and design value of this vast resource of textile art.

To engage in fund-raisig activities to facilitate repairs and maintenance of the Fabric (to include Churchyard maintenance & repairs/restoration) of the 12th Century Church of St James the Less, Hadleigh, Essex.

The Society's area of interest is the pre-1974 city boundaries of Rochester including urban Strood.The Society's activities cover guided tours of Rochester, publication of leaflets/books on the City's history and making representation on relevant planning applications to Medway Council.The Society is represented on many bodies in the area covering tourism, built environment and conservation.
