THE CHARITY MANAGES A HERITAGE VISITOR ATTRACTION COMPRISING A 19TH CENTURY BLACKSMITHS AND WHEELWRIGHTS WORKSHOP IN THE CENTRE OF WELLESBOURNE. THE YARD IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ON SUMMER SATURDAYS AND TO GROUPS AT OTHER TIMES BY APPOINTMENT. THE TRUST ALSO RUNS A PROGRAMME OF SCHOOL VISITS AND VISITS TO OLD PEOPLE'S HOMES, PRESENTATIONS TO CLUBS ETC. ON THE SUBJECT OF THE YARD AND ITS HISTORY.

Policy to advance the education of public by providing grants and assistance with historical research into the Templars, Crusades and associated subjects. Provides information including lectures and website information about the above. Provides grants for the training in the crafts of historic building or conservation for young, unemployed or disadvantaged persons.

To advance the Christian faith and to promote the study of Baptist history through publication especially Baptist quarterly and lectures and so contribute to a significant strand in British history. More information available on website - www.baptisthistory.org.uk.

Educational activities in the field of Maritime History.

Providing an on-line archive to record for educational purposes the history of the Riley family and its importance in the motor design, manufacturing and motor sport development in the United Kingdom. To provide a physical museum to display Riley related items for the interest and education of the public at large.

The Society studies the local history relating to Richmond, Ham, Kew, Petersham and organises meetings, exhibitions and visits to places of historical interest. The Society puts on record and where appropriate publishes local history of our area of interest.

Maintains the 16th Century school building left to the village by Mrs Jane Leeson's will of 1642.Now used as the village hall.

The objectives of the BFHS are to advance the education of the public in the study of Family History. We publish a quarterly journal, hold monthly meetings (www.bfhs.org.uk), provide research, publish CDs of Beds Parish Registers, publish Monumental Inscriptions from Churchyards within Beds, run a bookstall & library, provide a range of look-up services and carry out other relevant activities.

We offer membership to the society, at an affordable cost in return for which we organise a series of lectures on an historical theme. Visitors may also attend lectures for a nominal donation. In addition we provide, maintain and manage a museum of local history, open all year, with free entry to the public. School visits and lectures to local organisations.
