Promote the history of aviation & improve public awareness, knowledge & appreciation of aviation, aeronautical literature & history.Acquire & maintain archive, to identify, preserve and produce materials which record, to promote the history of aviation.Publish journals, books & information on aviation, provide grants & financial assistance to students to promote aviation history.

1. To promote public interest in Civic Design in Torbay.2. To stimulate public consciousness and appreciation of the beauty, history and character of Torbay and its surroundings.3. To encourage the preservation, development and improvement of features which enhance the attractiveness of the three towns of Torbay.

The activities of Chipping Campden History Society include meetings with talks; trips to places of historical interest; a twice-yearly journal; a family history group; research activity; working with local community groups; and publications on topics of local interest. It maintains a local history room which contains documents, maps, books, reference material, etc. collected over many years.

To support the work of the Essex Record Office. The promotion of the education of the public in the history of the County of Essex as constituted in 1954, including those London Boroughs which were formerly within Essex. To publish or assist in the publication of material relating to the history of Essex.

The aims of the charity are to promote appreciation and understanding of India, to foster communication between the peoples of India and the UK, to educate Indian diaspora in the UK and other India-watchers of the nuances, shared history and composite culture of India, which is often presented in a narrow lens, be it focusing on business, society or the policy landscape.

Historical research, preservation and education

The Archive's aim is to protect and conserve the cultural heritage of the area and to act as a repository for local people wishing to deposit relevant photographs, documents and memorabilia. It is also a resource for those wishing to research the history of their families, the places where they lived, their activities and the context in which their lives were lived.

U3A's are democratic, self funded, self managed organisations which exist to provide a full range of activities for men and women, no longer in full time employment, at minimal cost. They draw upon the knowledge, experience and skill of their members who organise the groups. At the moment we have groups including Walking, Skittles, Table Tennis, Family History,Art, Nature, Book groups, Mah Jong.

The Teddington Society aims to maintain and improve the environment and amenities of Teddington. It also provides information on the geography, history, architecture and environment for the public and supports local charities as appropriate.

We meet monthly and have a speaker and refreshments. At present we have 25 groups up and running varying from Traditional Dancing - Singing - Family History - Sunday outings and lunch this just a few. We have an open morning when all our activities are on display and this is open to members and non members to come in and see what we are all about also a Christmas social.

1. The provision of burial and cremated remains plots for a fee.2. The provision of historical information relating to the Cemetery and its founding dissenting congregations.3. The establishment of a nature trail and wildlife areas in the cemetery for the benefit and wellbeing of visitors and said wildlife.

Financial and technical support and an expert resource for the Bate Collection of Musical Instruments at the University of Oxford

Purpose of the institute is advancement of education and promoting research on conditions and way of life. History and development of muslim minority communities throughout the world and compile information and statistics in relation thereto and publish useful result of such study and research and dessiminate such information through their quarterly journal relating to life and condition of muslim

The charity has promoted Jewish religious education by engaging in research of historical Hebrew manuscripts and publishing the results of this research for the public benefit. Donations are also made to institutions which further the objects of the trust.

The Charity as well as maintaining its historical building, supports local groups and individuals in various fields, helping groups/people to futher their causes.

Arranges talks and visits on environmental and historical matters, arranges the opening to the public of a historic windmill, plants trees, recognises significant contributions to local amenities and activities.

To renovate, preserve and maintain the property known as The Lafrowda Club, St Just, Penzance. And to advance the education of the public in the history of West Penwith and preserve, protect, develop and improve features, objects and relics of historical or public interest from the area of St Just and to educate the public in the culture, history and architecture of that same area

Foundation and maintenance of Exhibition of legal robes and costumes at the Royal Courts of Justice or elsewhere.

To advance the education of the public by the establishment of a Maritime Museum in the Borough of Barrow-in-Furness and to collect, preserve restore, improve enhance, use and maintain features and objects of historical, industrial and social interest relating to the past and in particular the Maritime history of the Furness District.

We hold classses in sewing, crafting, yoga, various computer classes, government exercise referral scheme,history and Art. The centre is also the venue for the slimming club, computer club, family history society,and quilting group. We provide a facility for Citizens Advice one morning a week, and also Communities First Drop InCentre, one day a week. Local groups hold meetings.

The promotion of social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing people from becoming socially excluded by providing leisure and educational facilities with an emphasis on local history, horticulture and the environment.

Advance the education of the public in the history and heritage of Richmond Park and other Royal parks

With the help of volunteers, cataloguing the Archive material for Webster & Horsfall and Latch & Bachelor held by City of Birmingham Library Archive Department. Preparing exhibitions and presentations to mark the 300th Anniversary of Webster & Horsfall in 2020. Engaging with local community to promote the History and Heritage of the Hay Mills site

To follow closely environmental issues along the Tamar River. To preserve for this and future generations the museum known as Elliotts, also as custodians of Mary Newman's cottage to maintain this 14th century cottage and upkeep the recently recreated Elizabethan garden at the cottage.
