Preservation and maintenance of memorabilia relating to HMS Conway. The Charity has a chapel and museum at Birkenhead Priory which houses many items of historical interest relating to the ship. Occasional services are held in the chapel during the year including an annual Remembrance service in November.

The Charity owns a number of paintings, books, postcards and antique items of historical interest which all have a direct link with the Borough of Runnymede. Items are regularly displayed in the Chertsey Museum with the Literary items being stored at Royal Holloway College. The Charity looks to maintain and add to the Collections on a regular basis.

The Society was founded with the object of promoting interest in and knowledge of the history of the Church of England from the sixteenth century onwards. The Society aims to do this through an annual lecture and by publishing primary material of significance for the history of the Church of England, whether in the form of letters, diaries, treatises, visitation articles, or other documents.

To promote the restoration and permanent preservation for the public of the Church of the Holy Rood at Coombe Keynes in the county of Dorset, as a building of historical and architectural interest, which should be retained for the education of present and future generations; and to use the Church and any land appurtenant thereto for any public, social, educational or charitable purposes.

The Society studies and reports on the archaeology, history and architecture of South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire. A series of lectures is held. Visits are made to sites of interest. Members give lectures to other groups and attend at open days and similar events. Transactions are published usually every two years and contain articles or local and wider interest.

Dulverton Heritage Centre is a community led facility totally run by volunteers, offering an educational experience for local people and visitors, celebrating what makes the area special and unique. We assist visitors and local people to learn of the history and natural history and architecture of the locality and to secure the preservation, protection and development of features in the area.

The Charity promotes and supports the National Museum of Bermuda (incorporating the Bermuda Maritime Museum), in particular, the permanent preservation of such maritime artefacts and relics of historical archaeological and technical interest and maintain in perpetuity the museum and the historical buildings and gun emplacements within the historic fortifications of the old Royal Naval Dockyard.

The Society was founded in 1930 to encourage the study and preservation of Norfolk records and to publish editions of documents relating to the history of the county. It normally publishes one volume per year.

Washington U3A provide a list of activities for people who are retired 'but not retiring'These activities inlclude:- Digital photography and computing, family history, garden club, luncheons, ladies swimming, quiz, relaxation, pergamano, scrabble, dominoes, whist, singing, strolling, travel and walking.

A museum with collections to show local history and events

St Albans South Signal Box is a working museum bringing railway and signal history to our visitors and educating younger members of our community in the dangers of trespassing on the railway. Regular open days and group visits continued. The opportunity to extend the artifacts on display in the box and its gardens through purchases and loans means there is always something new to see for visitors.

The charity holds Great Haseley Windmill which it is restoring. It plans to open the Mill to the public by appointment during the construction period and ultimately to use the Mill as a place where the history of windmills can be studied.
