As the registered amenity society for Moseley, we have a membership of local people. We monitor planning and licensing applications; have an active local history group; organise a programme of meetings and activities; publish information about the area; we have restored three listed buildings in the area and open them to the public free of charge and we have created an 18th century style garden.

Gathering, Collating and publication of all information pertaining to the History and Heritage of the Ogmore Valley. This will be carried in with a view to assisting where possible the future education of the children of the Valley.

To promote for the benefit of the public the conservation, protection and improvement of the River Marden and its tributaries, from its source to its confluence with the River Avon, together with the surrounding habitats, and wildlife of its catchment basin, and to educate the public in the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment and history of the valley.

The construction, maintenance, improvement, and operation of a large model railway and other associated items of historical interest, for public exhibition as a historical 'working' museum, for the furtherance of the knowledge and education of the general public.

The aim of Chesham Museum is to educate visitors in the rich history of the town and the surrounding areas, for the benefit of both local residents and visitors. Our objectives are to display and promote aspects of local history, and as part of this to involve visitors in local history projects.

To foster the historical and cultural links between Portugal and the United Kingdom through talks, lectures, visits, dinners and other social functions in honour of the Treaty of Windsor 1386 between Portugal and England, the world's oldest treaty of alliance. In addition the Society provides financial assistance to childrens' homes and charities in Portugal on a charitable basis.

To promote and encourage the following objects:- 1) To encourage high standards in architecture & planning. 2) To stimulate public interest in Clapham and care for its beauty, history and character of the area and its surroundings. 3) To encourage the preservation, protection, development and enhancement of features of historic interest or public amenity in Clapham.

To advance and encourage the education of the public in the geography, history, natural history and architecture of Redbourn and the neighbouring areas.To provide research facilities for family history relating to the village.To employ volunteers to provide information for visitors and to answer questions.To support and encourage the 36 volunteers To arrange special events and exhibitions.

The Woburn Heritage Centre CIO runs a museum of local history, open to the public from April to October every year. The museum is run entirely by volunteers and has a committee of nine trustees

The charity was formed for the purposes of providing financial and practical support to the Oriental Museum (which is part of the University of Durham) and to inform members about all aspects of the history, culture etc. of the Orient (through lectures, events, etc.).

Organises regular speaker-led discussion events on topics of Irish Heritage at the Sacred Heart Club {Heart of Aston}, Aston, Birmingham, on the first Monday of the month, open to all. Events include all aspects of Irish Heritage - history, cultural and social.

TO OBTAIN, RESTORE AND OPERATE A REPRESENTATIVE COLLECTION OF RAILWAY TROLLEYS AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT, TOGETHER WITH A COLLECTION OF ARTEFACTS TO ILLUSTRATE THEIR HISTORY, DEVELOPMENT AND OPERATION. To encourage greater understanding of the history and character of the Hundred Parishes, an area of 450 square miles of northwest Essex, northeast Hertfordshire and southern Cambridgeshire that is characterised by its rich and diverse heritage. Our website includes introductions to each parish, over 140 walks that can be downloaded and opportunities for learning, conservation and participation.

The objects of the Charity are to preserve and promote the heritage and historical importance of the Jubilee Oak and Fenland Black Oak more generally by crafting a Jubilee Oak table and ensuring that the resulting work of craftmanship is displayed to the public.
