To promote the advancement of education in all aspects of the history of Woodsetts,South Yorkshire in particular but not exclusively by the provision of publications,meetings,exhibitions,lectures and such other means as the trustees think fit,including undertaking research,recording and publishing the history of the area,its people and lifestyle from its earliest times to the present day.

(i)To help fund the work of preservation, restoration, improvement and enhancement of St. Cuthbert's Church Darlington, its fabric and its fittings.(ii)To provide opportunities to share and increase knowledge and appreciation of the history and architecture of St. Cuthbert's Church Darlington, for the whole community and the wider public.

Maintenance and preservation of historic allotment gardens. To secure by purchase or by lease and then manage the gardens to provide allotment plots for local people to work. To educate local people about the importance of these gardens to the history of Sherwood and relevance within Nottingham City.

Meets monthly. The Society gives talks on a historical/cultural/educational subjects of interest to the members. There are occasional outings to an area of historical interest.The society opened a Heritage Centre in Builth Wells in 2021. It is run by volunteers.

To promote and encourage public interest in the preservation of railway locomotives and railway stock, machinery and equipment of historical interest and in railways, locomotives, rolling stock and railway machinery equipment generally and all appropriate books, manuscripts, plans, mechanical drawings and associated items.

To encourage the understanding of the history and heritage of Uffington village and its' surroundings by collecting, recording and conserving material both from the past and the present day.

We use performance and theatre to promote arts, history and culture in the Bispham and Blackpool area. Our performances are varied and are checked for artistic merit. We also use performance arts to improve confidence and wellbeing of those in need in the area.

The preservation of the historical, architectural, artistic, archaeological, constructional and environmental heritage of the Tees Valley area in the form of buildings, land, artefacts, or other objects (including any building as described in Section 290(1) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1971), of particular beauty or interest.

To advance public education by the provision and maintenance of a museum covering the Dengie Hundred in Essex together with the development and preservation of its collection. To stimulate public interest in the area of benefit with particular regard to history. To promote high standards of planning and architecture in the area of benefit .

Chelmsford Civic Society is a member of Civic Voice. The aims of The Chelmsford Civic Society are to stimulate public interest in and appreciation of the history, appearance and character of Chelmsford.

Art, craft and creative activities and classes for the local communities, especially young people, adults with a history of mental illness and pensioners. All our activities are underpinned by a respect for differences and a respect for the environment.

The U3A is a self-help, self-managed charitable organisation for those no longer in full-time work. It provides opportunities for members to share experiences in a range of Interest Groups to pursue skills, knowledge and activities. We hold monthly meetings with speakers, and have over 30 interest groups including bird watching, walking, family history, bridge, reading, geology, languages etc

Raise funding to improve the fabric,fittings and furniture of the Roman Catholic Cathedral of East Anglia (The Cathedral) and to promote public interest in the Cathedral and it's history, and to unite in a common fellowship all interested in the Cathedral.

The Haywood Society arranges monthly talks for members with two visits a year to places of local interest. It supports suitable local activities with start up grants. It has published three local history book, no4 in 2014. It tries to study all local planning applications. It assisted in discussions of local interest and the production of "The Village Building Guidelines".

To promote, for the benefit and education of the public, the study of genealogy, family history and local history, with particular reference to the County of Powys; and to promote the preservation, security and accessability of library and archival materials.

GIVING ADVICE ON AMENITY PROBLEMS AFFECTING THE nORWOOD AREA. RESEARCHING LOCAL HISTORY AND PUBLISHING LITERATURE ABOUT ITS HISTORY AND CULTURE. COMMUNICATING INFORMATION THROUGH TALKS, EXHIBITIONS AND QUARTERLY NORWOOD REVIEW. ACTING AS SOURCE OF EXPERTISE ON PLANNING, TRANSPORT, TREES AND OPEN SPACES.

Talks of local historical interest winter months, outings to places of historical interest June, July, August. Summer exhibition in the Heritage Centre,also open for family history research and houses an archive of photographs, census records and other records relevant to Shap. First book, Mardale - Echoes and Reflections of a lost Lakeland community published September 2011.

To advance awareness of the creation, history, conservation and appreciation of medieval arts and craftmanship in churches and other buildings, and to encourage and display contemporary arts inspired by the medieval.

The Trust intends to raise public awareness of the cultural, environmental and historical significance of the Goodwin Sands by creating displays in local maritime museums, providing an information board on the Deal and Walmer seafront, holding pop-up displays at community events and giving presentations and workshops to schools and interested groups.

To advance the education of young people in history and heritage through collaboration and jointpromotion of museums and heritage sites by running a scheme or schemes in Kent.
