Talks of local historical interest winter months, outings to places of historical interest June, July, August. Summer exhibition in the Heritage Centre,also open for family history research and houses an archive of photographs, census records and other records relevant to Shap. First book, Mardale - Echoes and Reflections of a lost Lakeland community published September 2011.
