The charity holds fundraising events and organised occasional activities to assist the work of Maidstone's museums and create greater access to their collections. The charity operates a Friends scheme and applies for grant funding to enable it to assist in the furtherance of public education by way of supporting, promoting, assisting and improving the Maidstone Museums and Art Gallery.

To promote the knowledge and social history of the town. To preserve the heritage of the small market town especially the 900 year old custom of the 'Dunmow Flitch'. To encourage tourism in the district.

Promote & support local art gallery & museum, practically by volunteering help & financially by raising money through organizing excursions & talks held at monthly meetings. We also offer visits to other galleries, study days and holidays.

To raise capital to continue to highlight and develop the rich heritage of the coal industry of the aber valley. We have built a memorial garden also, developed a museum both to the 1901 ad 1913 mining disasters that occurred in the aber valley when 521 men and boys lost their lives from devastating explosions .The later 1913 disaster taking 440 lives whih was the third largest in the world .

the Trustees have established a museum in Elstree & Borehamwood with free access to our collections and events for members of the public. In order to promote our objects we hold frequent educational exhibitions. these serve to promote the history and heritage of the area in an interactive learning environment.

This charity runs a small park and community art gallery/meeting space and kiosk in the town centre of Louth in Lincolnshire.

The Society promotes and encourages the study of local history; it owns and manages the Leatherhead Museum, it maintains / curates artefacts for local parishes; and maintains the local history archives and records. It publishes historical materials; holds talks on local history; and encourages the preservation of buildings and sites of archaeological or historical interest in the district.

Provision of Library & Museum facilities.

The Friends make grants available to the potteries museums and art gallery and Gladstone Industrial Museum to enable them to acquire objects and carry out activities which they would otherwise not be able to do. The friends therefore only indirectly help the classifications shown above.

The objects of the trust are to promote for the benefit of the nation the preservation of public transport vehicles and items of allied transport interest which are of historical and educational value.

Museum providing information and exhibits about Ashford in Kents past including for the first time an area highlighting the towns railway history. For the 2014 season a display commemoration the first world war with photographs and letters fromlocal people. It also includes a small mock trench.

We didn't have many activities during 2020 due to the Pandemic when we couldn't have face to face meetings. However, Scouts had a very active Zoom meetings In early part of year, Beavers celebrated Chinese new year, had a night hike and cooked pancakes. Cubs visited a synagogue, made pancakes, visited a Fire station and some went to the Science Museum. Scouts went ice skating, had a Winter camp

The Herefordshire Light Infantry Museum collects, documents, conserves, exhibits and interprets items relevant to the history of the Regiment.

To support the STEAM Museum of the Great Western Railway in Swindon in promoting the history and legacy of the Great Western Railway and in particular the railway works through a programme of investment, education and promotion. The Friends help with the cost of purchase, restoration and display of artefacts, carry out fundraising and promote the Museum through events, activities & publications.

To support the Blake Museum, Bridgwater, both by fundraising and also by day-to-day management. The Museum is owned by Bridgwater Town Council.

Active Steam Engine Museum and Educational Facility preserving and promoting the historic industrial past of the Charles Burrell Company of Thetford in Norfolk. 100% run by volunteers and financed from grants and donations and also the revenue generated from an in house shop, cafe and outside demonstrations of our steam traction engines.
