The charity's object and its principal activities continue to be that of breed society functions in recording pedigrees of Hampshire Down sheep and to promote the science and practice of agriculture by the encouragement of the breeding of Hampshire Down Sheep at home and abroad. The charity also undertakes research in the subject of sheep breeding, wool production and matters relating thereto.

We aim to provide a permanent and holistic retirement home for horses, donkeys and other animals, whilst at the same time creating and sustaining habitats that encourage wildlife, birds and native plant species. We also aim to educate and inspire the public by example and through walks, talks and courses.

Friend is a farm animal sanctuary with nearly 200 animals. They find their way here through being unwanted, abused, neglected or abandoned. The sanctuary offers a safe, violence-free home to chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, cows, goats, sheep, pigs and one alpaca who thinks he is a sheep. We are on a 10 acre site nestled in between the orchards and hop farms of East Peckham in rural Kent.

THE BAKAU COMMUNITY PROJECT views good housing and education as a human right. We aim to promote social inclusion for public benefit by preventing homelessness, social exclusion, believing the needs of those who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate in society and achieve a life of stability, happiness, and independence.

We reach out to women trapped in a lifestyle of prostitution/sexual exploitation at known places of activity at night, giving out hot drinks, gift bags, a listening ear, advising them of day drop-in. The drop-in is a safe haven where one to one support, programmes that help build self-esteem, advice on benefits, housing, debt, other services are given to help them rebuild a purposeful life.

LBDR take in and re-home large breed dogs. We have a strict non destruct policy and never put a dog to sleep unless advised by a vet. All dogs are neutered, vaccinated & microchipped before re-homing. Just 1 Life is a small charity that aims to improve lives, relieve suffering and to provide education opportunities for children and vulnerable people within their own communities. We offer hope, opportunities and care by sponsoring specific projects, currently in a children's home in Kenya and a school for disabled young people in Indonesia.

Mainly involved in fund-raising activities. Funds raised are used to increase the capacity of partner organizations to find suitable foster care placements for children living in instituional homes in Bulgaria and adoptive families for such children Grants are also extended towards prevention or relief of poverty among families who are at risk of having their children taken away

To relieve the suffering of wildlife in the need of care and attention. In particular, to provide and maintain rescue homes or other facilities for the reception, care and treatment of such wildlife. To enable rehabilitation and release back into the wild and to educate the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among animals

Promote and support RSPCA policies. Re-home cats both domestic and feral. Promote neutering of cats and dogs. Assist those on low incomes with vet bills. Liaise with local animal welfare charities. Provide advice and information.

We meet as a church, at least, twice in a week to worship God at our operation centre in Bristol. The Happy Pants Ranch is a registered animal sanctuary charity and forever home to around 450 rescue animals, that have nowhere else to go. This includes all animals and wildlife from goats and cows to dogs and emus! It is now also a wellbeing hub for humans, helping to improve mental and physical health for all.

South Molton Cottage Homes provides accommodation for elderly people who have lived in the area for at least 5 years. There are eight cottages, 4 for single occupancy and 4 for couples. All are occupied at the present time.

We aim to get as many Akitas in danger into safe kennels and ultimately into new forever homes. Our objective is to help, rescue where necessary, rehabilitate and rehome any Akita which needs it, through assessing both dog and potential owners, to ensure a well-matched and long lasting, happy relationship.

I AM supports families in desperate housing need in central Uganda. Working together with beneficiary families we provide a hand up by way of safe, secure housing and small farming plots to generate increased household income. Provision is also made for clean drinking water, improved sanitation facilities, improved kitchen & cooking facilities, and solar power to eliminate use of kerosene lamps.

The Trust was formally established in July 1953.The home is a housing unit, providing 26 units of accommodation for elderly persons who are vulnerable, needy or have medical conditions within specific wards in the West of the Borough.
