The trustees fulfil the charity's objectives by processing applications only from accredited social work agencies supporting clients in need, hardship and distress in three categories: those who are in danger of losing their homes or essential services; those caring for children in impoverished circumstances; those who have faced some personal setback and are being encouraged to start again.

We work towards relieving poverty, need, hardship, homelessness, sickness and distress. We aim to facilitate social mobility and improve the quality of life of individuals in need. Through our digital library, we provide free access to life-impacting e-books at the click of a button and on every device. We also partner with agencies that share our ethos in delivering these much needed services.

Samaritans provides completely confidential emotional support 24-hours a day by telephone, face-to-face, email and text, at festivals and outside our centres in prisons, hospitals, schools and workplaces and with the homeless through a network of over 200 branches in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Birmingham Samaritans acts as one of these branches.

To relieve the condition of disadvantaged persons in mid-Essex experiencing difficulties with homelessness, joblessness, substance misuse, physical and mental health problems, learning difficulties by the provision of support services to assist them in maintaining normal relationships with and within their community.

Our strategy is to shift the focus from managing homelessness to ending & preventing homelessness by creating a network of partners in the public, private and voluntary sector to facilitate joined up and collaborative working to maximising resources, focus on health & wellbeing, affordable homes, data and insight and securing better outcomes for people who are, or are at risk of homelessness.

We provide a number of charitable services to homeless and rough sleepers including running street kitchens to provide food and clothing. We currently run 7 days a week giving volunteers a chance to work together on these projects. Since March 2020 the first Covid-19 lock down we stepped up our services, this was made possible by extra vounteers over 300 and support from businesses and groups.

For the public benefit. To relieve the needs of homeless persons or those at risk of homelessness in Selby and the surrounding areas by the provision of temporary accommodation, providing food, drink, warmth ,washing facilities, replacement clothing, companionship, advocacy services, signposting and help accessing external support.

We care for spiritual, psychological, physical & mental wellbeing of individuals in Lancaster & environs. We set out to give hope & reassurance to homeless & mental health condition individuals through awareness, networking & engagements using events like sporting events, talk show, youth workshop, leadership programs so as to assist regain self-confidence & become optimistic for a better tomorrow

Portsmouth Methodist Church exists to respond to the gospel of God's love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission. It does this through worship, learning and caring, service and evangelism. The church is involved in various activities such as lunch clubs, homeless projects etc. These activities are carried in three mission centres - Copnor, Eastney and Trinity.

The Ark conducts weekly church services, prayer meetings, training and youth work. The church supports Christian evangelistic and humanitarian initiatives amongst the homeless and disadvantaged in the UK and abroad. The Ark also runs a Foodbank supporting families referred to us by local schools, and gives grants to those suffering hardship.

Makes grants of up to £200 each to refugees, asylum seekers, the homeless and others suffering personal distress. Makes limited number of grants to projects working amongst the poorest communities from restricted funds received for those specific projects.

HIAR exists to alleviate homelessness and poverty

1. We are involved in religious activities such as preaching, distribute religious items, bibles, books, cd's etc. 2. We provide food to the public, homeless and hungry. 3. We teach music and musical instruments to youths and IT to the needy. 4. We provide counselling to the public. 5. We provide information to job seekers.

Open Door supports a homelessness night shelter and daytime drop-in for vulnerable people in St Albans. Set up in 1992, the charity aims to ensure that no-one needs to sleep rough in St Albans and generally to improve the life chances of homeless people. Our main activities are to raise funds, primarily from the local community, to support and improve the service and to promote volunteering.

Our Charity conducts a number of weekly church services and also holds a number of weekly bible study sessions. We also run a number of outreach programs which include feeding the homeless and programs on health issues for example HIV/Aids.

We are a 3 denominational (Baptist, Methodist, United Reformed Church) ecumenical church worshipping as one church. We operate from The Pilgrim Centre in Swindon town centre which includes The Roundabout Cafe. All are welcome. Cafe prices are set deliberately low to reflect this. We provide help to the lonely and homeless in the form of free food, clothing, and a listening ear.

Supporting the Christian Ministry of Sean Stillman and Associated initiatives.These initiatives include: - Zac's Place which is both a facility supporting homeless and other disadvantaged individuals in the Swansea area and also a mission church community.- Rough Edges which is a social enterprise in Swansea www.Rough-Edges.org.uk

Fightback provides mediation, advocacy and representation to the disabled, refugees, asylum seeker, BME groups, the homeless and destitute. We provide a weekly coffee morning, befriending and drop in service, use of phones, computers, form filling, various health related classes, CV writing, updating U/C journals and food parcels.

The care and protection of dobermanns which are in need of care and attention by reason of homelessness, maltreatment, poor circumstances, ill usage or similar causes and the prevention of cruelty to, and suffering among the dobermann breed. The education of the public as to the humane principles and correct treatment of the dobermann breed.

To provide a Winter Shelter for the homeless in Maidstone. This includes a hot meal and a social evening provided by a host of volunteers; a bed for the night and breakfast in the morning. During their stay, the Guest can obtain advice and help to find permanent housing, making contact with family members and assistance with other inter agency facilities.
