SEDCU has been established to support the education of disadvantaged children in Uganda. The children may be disabled, orphaned, homeless or living in extreme poverty. The charity is focusing on sponsorship of children and funding relevant projects at two nursery/primary schools in South West Uganda but it also supports older children at secondary schools and in tertiary education.

HCR cover cat and kitten rescue. All cats are neutered and microchipped before going to their new homes. A follow-up service for kittens aged 6+ months to encourage neutering is performed.We educate the public, reinforcing the importance of neutering, vaccinating and micro-chipping cats.We also trap, neuter and release feral cats, helping to humanely reduce the number of unwanted cats.

Prodigal Bikes collects unwanted bikes in the UK. We refurbish them, then send them to Africa to help people there gain access to education, healthcare and employment. The bikes are prepared here by ex-offenders, ex-homeless people and school children at risk of exclusion. We teach them bike maintenance skills and inspire them towards further training and employment in Engineering related jobs.

The charity operates a homeless feeding scheme in conjunction with Project 58:7, an initiative of Churches Together Basildon. We also run a Cafe' on weekdays for the lonely, isolated and vulnerable in our community. Our church meets weekly on a Sunday morning for community, worship and bible study. We also run small groups throughout the week for the purpose of connecting.
