Leisure Charities That specialise in Gardening

NSCPG deliver community-led activities on the Springs estate in Redvales, east Bury. Regular activity groups include: Over 50s Luncheon Club, Kids Club, Reiki Group, Accessible Yoga, Gardening Group and Craft for Wellbeing. NSCPG also run ad hoc events, such as community fun days, community trips and litter picking. The activities and groups are open to all.

All activities associated with parish halls-hiring hall to local organisations eg, Tuesday club, gardening club, hobbies group, also fund raising events.

The hall is used by various organisations in Goonhavern & District. It is used by all ages from children to senior citizens for Gardening Club,Old Cornwall Society,,Guides,Brownies, Cubs,Beavers,Playgroup,Parties and meetings.

The promotion of social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing people from becoming socially excluded by providing leisure and educational facilities with an emphasis on local history, horticulture and the environment.

Here at Bury Vetrerans Hub we signpost and offer support in the following area's:- Counselling, Family Support, Housing Support, Combatting Isolation, Debt Advice, Education, Health and Well Being Support, Community Gardening and Bee Keeping. We also offer sport and social activities and events requested by our members. This also includes two Breakfast Clubs and two monthly drop ins.

The activities are undertaken in the Runnymede area and comprise:The positive recycling of quality household furniture and other household goods to needy and disadvantaged individuals and families.Undertaking short term projects for needy individuals and families e.g. gardening and DIYOrganising the collection and distributing of food for needy individuals and families.

THE LESTER DRIVE CENTRE COMMITTEE PROVIDES HUMAN RESOURCES AND BUILDINGS FACILITIES FOR A WIDE RANGE OF COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES INCLUDING OLD PEOPLE'S BINGO (MONDAY AND THURSDAY), GARDENING CLUB, LECTURES AND CLASSES, LEARNING, PRE-SCHOOL GROUP, BRIDGE CLUBS, WEIGHT WATCHERS, BOARD GAMERS, FARMERS' WIVES, BABY MASSAGE/BONDING, FRENCH FOR TODDLERS & HIRES OUT THE HALL ON A ONE-OFF BASIS

Bridge Club, Upholstery Classes, Parents & Tots, Coffee Mornings, Parish Council Meetings, PCC Meetings, U3A meetings, Pilates, Gardening Club, Pop-up-Pub, Children's Parties, Wedding Receptions, Funeral Teas, Harvest Lunch, Training facility and any other facilities required by the residents of Lyonshall and surrounding villages.

Preservation of locally developed Apple Varieties.Cultivation of Allotments.Development of Family Apple trees (3 varieties on 1 tree) for small gardens.Social events related to fruit trees and their products (Apple Day, Wassail Party, etc)

Working with students with disabilities to develop skills and confidence to move to self employment. We also work with schools to encourage grow your own fruit and veg, local colleges and communityThe woods are used for people with end of life illness to spend time and people from care homes are also welcomed to spend time here either sitting and enjoying the views or doing a spot of gardening.

Provides the only meeting place in Cransley for the local community. Available for hire to various organisations including keep fit, yoga, bowls, upholstery classes. Holds events regularly which provide entertainment for the village as well as fundraising - barn dances, concerts, annual horticultural show, annual fete, annual Christmas craft fair.

GetYourLifeBack! supports people with mental health issues, hormonal problems and those who are socially isolated and excluded through 1:1 mindfulness-based therapy, group work and outdoor activities such as gardening, woodwork and art and craft. We connect people with people reducing loneliness and reconnect people with nature providing emotional, psychological and physical support naturally.

Group based horticulture in a community garden being created out of four adjoining allotments in Norwich. Groups work on their own borders as well as on shared areas.

Providing allotment facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation leisure time occupation with the objective of improving life for the residents.Facilitating and supporting educational and training activities in horticultural and related activities.

Muddy Fork helps people experiencing mental health challenges take back control of their lives through volunteer gardening & conservation in Bassetlaw (North Nottinghamshire) and surrounding areas.

We work with clients sufferring poverty, sickness or distress, who are referred to us by social workers or charities. We facilitate church members becoming involved in projects to help these clients. The work can involve timegiving with projects such as gardening or decorating or donating and distributing household items and furniture.

Provides a venue for the following activities: - Pre- School, Carpet Bowls, Pilates, Tai Chi, Zumba, Table Tennis, Horticultural Society, BUDS and Dance classes for Children.Contact point in case of emergencies/disaster in local area.

In furthering the aims & vision described on the charity's website. WHEAT mentor support trust runs workshops, provides training, research and consultancy services; provides mentoring; and raises funds. For children and young people, it provides coaching in basketball and table tennis, teaches dance, art and gardening just to mention a few. Also promotes healthy eating & environmental awareness.

We promote the study and conservation of carnivorous plants by publishing a newsletter/journal and cultivation guidance, operating a website, maintaining an extensive seedbank, participating in shows and events, and funding conservation and research projects.

To promote Horticulture within the village environment and beyond.

Provide facilities to community groups e.g Ladies, Youth Line-Dance, Gardening, Tai Chi. Provide a facility for occasional users: Local Elections, Comm. Council Meetings, Funeral Teas, local celebrations. Provide talks on heritage, poets, environmental issues. Provide a monthly Coffee morning for the community. In the future we want to extend this to other groups inc. educational groups.

Charity provides gardening services for people who cannot tend their gardens and cannot afford prices of professional gardeners. Many people benefit from the services and are elderly or have disabilities. Volunteers gain a huge amount from this service to the community with support and access to training. Providing support and training for volunteers, some of whom have learning difficulties.
