Many Guide units and Brownie Packs have enjoyed their activities with Poole East Division. Camping and outdoor experiences along with more adventurous activities at outdoor education centres. We have been part of the large County camp this year.

At our charity we provide activities to learn new life skills that they don't learn at school. We provide camping trips and activities to children. They learn to cook, tie knots, team building, fire skills.

The charity actively promotes the sport of canoeing within the community as a health recreational sport. The coaches give their time to teach newcomers the skills of canoeing.

The Sea Cadet Corps is a national,voluntary youth organisation which aims to help young people (aged 10-18) towards responsible adulthood and to encourage them to reach their potential by developing valuable personal attributes and high standards of conduct,using a nautical theme based on the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy.Activities include sailing,kayaking,climbing,engineering and IT

We provide several camping type activities which give new experiences to children and offer them relief from very stressful home situations. These projects are either under canvas or in suitable premises and are run by volunteers.

Providing an outdoor pursuits and Study Centre for use predominantly by school age children from the Orpington/Bromley/Kent areas, but more widely as availability allows. We ensure that young people from disadvantaged backgrounds have access to this facility through our charging policy. We are also working with groups local to the Centre who are providing support in the community.

Maintenance of an outdoor centre / bunkhouse facility for use by local organisations involved with providing recreational and outdoor opportunities for young people and others interested in outdoor pursuits.

The group provides an opportunity for children to learn and develop skills that will lead them in good stead for their future and provide a basis from which they can progress and develop into good citizens. The group runs Scouts, Cubs and Beavers each week from St John's School, Warminster and arranges outings to educational based attractions as well as providing traditional camping.

We are a uniformed organisation to train girls and young women in a variety of boating and nautical skills - both traditional and modern; service to our local community and outdoor activities. Each young person will gain skills to widen their interests and enable them to take an active and responsible role in our society.

St Breward Guides and Brownies are the units in the village of St Breward and offer activities for all girls from the age of seven years upwards. Currently there are 18 Brownies 13 Guides 2 Young leaders (those 14 - 18 who are working towards a leadership quliafication) and 6 adults. Activites range from craft, public service and health to outdoor activities such as walking, swimming and camping.

Camping and Outdoor Adventures

we deliver worthwhile youth programmes for each section which has included; cooking and sports competitions, archery, climbing, axe throwing and hillwalking activities along with cultural, environmental and social activities. we have also delivered a range of nights away experiences from sleepovers to four day expeditions including an international expedition in the Republic of Ireland.

We help young people in the Kelsall and surrounding rural areas by providing them opportunities toparticipate in the DofE scheme at all levels . We provide a full expedition training programme through regular local group meetings and supervise day hikes and expeditions. In addition, we approve and provide advice and support in completing their other Award activities.

Active participation in the community, locally and within The Scout Association. Participation in team and individual sporting activities. Attendance at local church. Discussions on various subjects including site visits. Outdoor activities including camping, sometimes internationally. Group and individual instructions and advice to enable members to gain badges in varied subjects.

Friends Of Normandy Village School is the Parent Teacher Association aligned to Normandy Village School, Normandy.Annual events are organised to raise funds for the school such as an annual Summer and Christmas Fayre, an annual camping event and various movie nights, school discos, cake sales etc. throughout the year.
