The purpose of Scouting is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. Some of the activities included camping, hiking, archery, cooking and many more fun activities.

It provides an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training guided by trained adult leadership through weekly meetings and outdoor activities.

Competitive sprint and marathon canoeing/kayaking.

Promote orienteering in in schools throughout the UK.

Group raise funds within school and local community - funds then donated to school for additional projects.ie climbing wall, new sports kit, trips, playground equipment.

The object of the Trust is to help and education young people, mainly between the ages of 13 to 18 years, through the art and craft of outdoor pursuits, to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacities, so they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society that their conditions of life may be improved.

We are a community based organisation for women and we offer the opportunity for women to make friends, take part in workshops and events and to help make a difference in our community. We hold a monthly meeting at the Masonic Hall in Hawarden as well workshops and outdoor activities. We have at present 47 members.

Fundraising to support the education of pupils at Pendarren House Outdoor Education Centre.

Provide financial assistance for pupils who have attended or still attend the school at Prescot by awarding travel scholarships etc. or helping to pay for extra courses, outfits, tools, instruments or books they may need to further their educationGrants for Educational Equipment not provided by the local authorityUpkeep, repairs and improvements to the Outdoor Education facility at Tan y Graig

Kayaking and Canoeing

Scout Group with a Beaver, Cub, Scout and Explorer Section open to both boys and girls. Weekly meetings led by all volunteers. Activities range from camping and hiking to games, fund-raising for other charities, learning life skills, badgework and numerous other fun things.

The Group are based in Mansfield Woodhouse Nottinghamshire. Activities include camping, hiking and other activities connected with the scouting movement.

A balanced programme is run on a weekly basis which helps the children to gain badges. Outdoor activities are run which include tracking, camping and various other outdoor pursuits. The children also take part in District run activities, like swimming, five-a-side football, sports days etc.

Town Scout Group - with activities for children aged 6-14. Primary activities include camping, woodcraft, first aid, aquatics, hiking, backpacking, and sports.

We provide scouting activities for the 6-14 year age range - providing camping, outdoor, crafts and other opportunities which they would not otherwise be able to participate.

CAMPING FUNDRAISING WEEKLY MEETINGS

The Battalion supports the work of Boys Brigade companies around the Sheffield and District (North Derbyshire and North Notts) area provide activities which cover Spiritual, Sport, Craft, Outdoor activities and a structured award scheme

We have cake sales, tombolas, sales, sports day, sponsor day, film clubs, BBQ and camping night, easter/christmas disco's, Christmas fayre and strawberry tea etc.

Provide a place and facilities for the people of the village of Trelech and the surrounding area. For example, YFC, Chapel, Cylch Meithrin and any other organization who need the use of the Centre for any activity they wish to hold. The Centre has Broadband facility, piano, fully fitted kitchen, central heating and disabled facilities plus an outside area for outdoor activities.

D of E Expedition Training

A wide range of activities, study and entertainment for members (specifically for the over 50s). Subjects include Art, Photography, and Crafts of all Types; Classical Music and Book Appreciation; Science and Geneaology; Outdoor pursuits such as Rambling and Birdwatching; Indoor and Outdoor Sports: plus outings and holidays. We recognise the social aspect of learning for mental acuity and health.

We work with children aged 6-14 years old, by taking them on trips, days out, camping trips working closely in the local community.

To offer outdoor activities to children/ teenagers aged 6 upwards in line with the Scouting Policy.
