We are developing educational delivery for schools, colleges and adult learning based at the historic Snibston Colliery. The Trust aims to benefit all sectors of the community. This will be delivered through formal and informal learning through community participation.

Visits are made to Sri Lanka and courses in Counselling Skills taught to teachers, pastors and nurses. Equipment for schools, nurseries and orphanages has been purchased. A Play therapy room has been built at an orphanage and care mothers have been trained to use this. Music and drama therapy as well as group and individual counselling sessions are used to help the children with emotional issues.

The object of the CIO is to advance the education of the public in the history of mining at the former Chatterley Whitfield colliery by the demonstration of mining methods and the exhibition of machinery and ancillary matters connected with mining transportation social conditions and industrial archaeology and in such other ways as the trustees consider appropriate.

We are a community hall that provides a base for any groups or individuals to carry out their activities in a safe environment.

To assist the advancement of education, preservation and protection of health, relief of poverty, hardship and distress of workers and former workers in the mining industry in the Russian Federation and worldwide, their families and dependents and such other charitable purpose or purposes as the trustees shall from time to time determine

A village hall for use by the local community including use for meetings, lectures and classes and other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation.

The Trustees shall apply the income of the Charity for such charitable purposes for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Port Talbot area (Defined as the former Borough of Port Talbot prior to the 1st April 1996) for:a. Educational purposes of young people between the ages of 16 and 25, or,b. Nurse training.

On July 11 2014 we opened as a museum we made BBC Central News on several occasions. Our last appearance was Inside Out February 2019.We work with local schools, scouts, U3A etc. Within the museum we have photographs, artefacts showing past mining equipment and the social history of a mining village.We have done outreach at Bestwood, Mansfield, Pleasley, Langwith, Rufford and Newark.

The upkeep and maintenance of the reading room and attached cottage - rented out.
