The North West Air Ambulance Charity helicopters and HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) response vehicles operate 365 days a year, with doctors and HEMS paramedics on board providing enhanced pre-hospital care and hospital transfers to patients across the entire North West. The charity is dedicated to the conservation and preservation of life, through services of an air ambulance.

Provides financial assistance to serving, retired and ex Metropolitan Police Officers and their dependants in need by way of a monetary grant or interest free loan. Also allows officers free access to Flint House, the Police Rehabilitation Centre in Goring, where necessary and supports the Metropolitan and City Police Orphans Fund

To providing grants to necessitous orphans of members of the Metropolitan and City Police Officers to further their educational and welfare needs.

Training in Gynaecological Endoscopy, particularly with regard to the management of endometriosis and pelvic pain. The BSGE organises meetings for Consultants, Doctors in Training and paramedics and awards appropriate Bursaries, including student bursaries for students taking the MSC in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy which is jointly run with the University of Surrey

Provides peer support to the families of police officers and police staff who have lost their lives while on duty. This support can be of a one to one nature or group activities such as parents weekends, spouses weekends and children's activities.

The benevolent fund provides grants to serving and retired police officers and serving and retired employees of the West Midlands Police and any other Qualifying Police Organisations suffering from financial hardship or who have a charitable need. Also supports organisations associated with policing for eg, sponsorship of events or funding towards activities.

For the care and education of children of deceased or medically retired police officers from subscribing forces in England and Wales.

Providing benefits to serving/retired police officers and their dependants in charitable need

Providing immediate care to accident victims. All active members are qualified general practitioners or paramedics. Respond only to 999 calls for which they receive no form of renumeration whatsoever. Our charity provides for their clothing, equipment and training up to the required NHS standard.

The charity provides assistance and support to members and retired members, including their partners and dependent family, who are in need and/or hardship and/or distress. Membership is open to Sussex police officers, staff, special constables and volunteers.

Erect and maintain memorials to police officers and Police Staff killed in the course of their hazardous duty.

The protection and preservation of human life and the relief of sickness by providing high quality pre-hospital medical treatment through a network of volunteer doctors and paramedics.

To provide assistance to police officers who are either serving or retired members of the Thames Valley Police Benevolent Fund, their widows, widowers and dependants, who are regarded as being in necessitous circumstances. The charity therefore provides public benefit to those persons.

BEARS provides immediate medical care in support of the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust. The scheme operates across Essex and provides trained and equipped Doctors and Paramedics to respond to emergency calls. All the clinicians have undergone additional training to their base medical qualification to provide advanced care to any patient that is ill or injured within the county.

We assist young people, victims and witnesses of crime, and vulnerable members of the community through grants to either individuals, or organisations.We assist other charitable purposes as determined by the trustees.All applications are submitted by either a Police Officer, or member of Police Staff.

The Trust maintains the UK Police Roll of Honour, a record of public service and sacrifice of all British Police Officers who list their lives on and in the line of duty since the earliest days of professional law enforcement.

The Orchestra made up of police officers, police staff and other members of the extended police family each year performs at different venues around the country raising money for a number of different charities. A mini tour of India took place in February 2008. Charity Concerts included Warwick Arts Centre for Fighting Blindness and the annual Proms Concert at Symphony Hall in December.
