Promotion of religious education in accordance with the principles & doctrine of the Church of England by means of Sunday Schools or in such other ways as most trustees think fit.

The provision of 'The Lee Scholarship' at Trinity College Cambridge. This is tenable for three years following a public examination for the son or daughter of a member of the clergy of the Church of England (who shall have officiated in the diocese of Manchester for a period of not less than five years in total) and who declares themselves to be a member of the Church of England.

In the early 1900's local businessman and property owner George Day left a bequest in his will to provide "treats for the children of Buham"Nearly one hundred years later the fund he created still exists, and provides between -ú300 & -ú400 per year to provide annual treats for the children attending Burham C of E Primary School.
