In the early 1900's local businessman and property owner George Day left a bequest in his will to provide "treats for the children of Buham"Nearly one hundred years later the fund he created still exists, and provides between -ú300 & -ú400 per year to provide annual treats for the children attending Burham C of E Primary School.
