The purpose of Wilmington Community Church CIO is to promote the Christian faith in the area of Wilmington Kent and surrounding areas and using video technology reach world wide. It is also our purpose to to provide social support in the local area including supporting the vulnerable, befriending and some domestic help and through our counselling centre offer counselling services.

The PCC has responsibility for promoting in the parish, the whole mission of the church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. Through the Parish Share system, St Matthew's provides financial support to less wealthy churches in the Diocese, but must do better.The PCC has maintenance responsibilities for the church with its adjoining meeting room, and also for Stainbeck Community Hall.

The charity's activities include a Christian bookshop plus the sale of cards and Church requisites, a daytime cafe and evening events both for specific groups and the general public. In addition, we provide outreach book sales at events organised by the Norwich Diocese. The main area in which we operate is Norwich and Norfolk.

The charity primarily offers a place of worship to the local communities & further afield. It also runs youth & children dept, women's ministries dept & men's fellowship dept welcoming users from all walks of life. The charity is also involved in community outreach & supports international appeals by fundraising.

The principal purpose of the Church is the advancement of the Christian faith according to the principles of the Baptist denomination. The Church may also advance education and carry out other charitable purposes in the United Kingdom and/or other parts of the world. Activities include: Worship, Evangelism, Teaching, Community Service, Pastoral Care and supporting charitable social action.

The Cambridge Centre for Christianity Worldwide, formerly known as the Henry Martyn Centre, provides, for the many communities within the universities of Cambridge and for the public, a deeper understanding of the worldwide and missionary nature of the Christian Church.
