Religious Activities

The charity operates through three churches; St Denys' Curch, Stanford in the Vale, All Saints Church, Goosey and St George's Church, Hatford. The churches provide the opportunity for regular public worship, provide a place for prayer and contemplation, provide teaching for all ages in the Christian faith, provide pastoral care to the community and some social care to the community.

The principal function of this charity is to promote in the parish the whole mission of the Church. The Parochial Church Council is governed by the Parochial Church Councils (Powers) measure 1956 and the Church Representation Rules (contained in Schedule 3 to the Synodical Government Measure 1969 as amended).

The activities which we engage in on a weekly basis is as follows:Weekly lunch club for the community, including elderly and young parents with small children - Gener8.Weekly youth club for teenagers in the community on a Friday evening with around 100 young people in attendance run by volunteers from our Church - Ignite.

St Mary's Parochial Church Council (PCC) has the responsibility of co-operating with the incumbent in promoting the whole mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical.

St Mary's is a church that is part of the Oxford Diocese in Berkshire. Regular services take place during the week and at weekends. Weddings, Baptisms and Funerals also take place. St Mary's plays an active part in the local community and runs lunch clubs for elderly residents, a support group for those who have been bereaved as well as a number of activities for young people and families.

The primary object of the PCC is the promotion of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to the doctrines and practices of the Church of England. Holy Trinity's PCC has the responsibility for co- operating with the incumbent in promoting, in the ecclesiastical parish, the whole mission of the church ?pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical.

Woburn Parochial Church Council has the responsibility of enabling St Mary's Church Woburn to fulfil its vision in worship and mission as a Parish Church as part of the Church of England. St Mary's Church Woburn is based in Park Street Woburn, MK17 9PG.Activities include regular church services, teaching about Jesus and the Gospel, facilities for prayer and pastoral care in the community.
