The Benefice comprises 3 churches-the parish of St Nicholas serving the community of Godstone;St Stephen's church serving the community of South Godstone; the parish of St John serving the community of Blindley Heath. The primary function is to provide a faith and worship centre in each community in accordance with the traditional parochial and pastoral ministry of the Church of England

St Michael the Archangel is a Church of England parish in the Old Town of Southampton. We offer a welcome to all Sunday by Sunday, celebrating the sacraments reverently and joyfully and received as God's good gifts. We seek to engage with our local community through the Southampton Council of Faiths and with our neighbouring Catholic City Centre parish, St Joseph's.

The PCC is responsible for working with the incumbent in promoting the mission of the church in the parish of Cliffe with Cooling. This involves pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical aspects, as well as maintenance and management of St Helen's Church and churchyard and St Helen's House, The Buttway, Cliffe.

The Church Council and ministers promote the whole mission of the church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. Our buildings are used for services on Sundays and during the week for church-based activities and for hire. All are welcome to the activities we provide for parents and toddlers, young people and the elderly, regardless of religion, ethnicity, age or disability.

The activities include regular Sunday services and the activities during the week including Holy Communion, Coffee mornings, toddler groups, youth clubs. Plus baptisms, weddings and funerals. The church has a large suite of buildings which are hired out regularly to St Barnabas Pre-School. Also there are other regular users e.g AA, MenCap and local dance groups plus one off functions.

The church works to the Diocesan goals of worshipping God, making disciples and transforming communities. We hold a variety of services for worship at varying times and days, we offer groups to nurture faith & friendship and we have sought to reach out to the wider parish by providing facilities and activities for all ages.
