St Paul's Parochial Church Council has the responsibility of cooperating with the incumbent, in promoting in the ecclesiastical parish, the whole mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. The PCC is also responsible for the maintenance of the Church building.

We are committed to enabling as many people as possible to worship in our churches and to become part of the parish community. We offer opportunities to learn about the gospel; we provide pastoral care; we have outreach work.We also provide opportunities for social gatherings with some special care for the elderly.

Religious activities

Beacon Church Blackpool is a parish church in central Blackpool. For us church is more about family than just Sundays - We meet together regularly for different activities, such as stay & play, park runs, meals, small groups and fun - alongside our Sunday services The 11, and Families at Four. We are a home for restless souls and a beacon to shed forth Gods light in Blackpool and beyond.

The church is open to anyone wishing to visit the building or worship within. There are activities such as toddler groups and service is given to the village of East Bergholt as a whole.

As well as worship on Sundays the Church is utilised fully throughout the week. Pensioner Clubs, Old People?s Lunch Club, function alongside Mother & Toddler, Youth Groups and uniformed organisations such as Brownies & Guides. The Church is also reaching out to those in need with a new Unemployed Person?s Drop-in and a Mental Health Club as well.

Our aim is to bring people to a knowledge and love of God through Jesus Christ, by ministering to the professed members of the Church, by proclaiming the Gospel in the Parish of St. John the Baptist, Margate and by being a Christian conscience of the town. Our corporate focus is Central Margate where, as the Parish Church, we are a Christian Centre for the Community.

St Peter's provides a sacred space for personal prayer and regular public worship open to all. It exercises a pastoral ministry and promotes Christianity through its teaching ministry and community events. It has close ties with local schools and hosts a community choir.

PROMOTING IN THE ECCLESIASTICAL PARISH THE WHOLE MISSION OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND

Church of England team ministry with Team Rector (Rev Geoffrey Bayliss). There are 2 places of worship: St. James' and St. Francis'. Regular public worship open to all with teaching of Christanity through sermons, home groups and school "Open the Book" assemblies.There is Lunch Club, a monthly Film Club, groups for carers and toddlers, Junior Church and other social occasions.

We promote in the ecclesiastical parish of Bishop Auckland the whole mission of the church, conducting Christian services and ceremonies and raising awareness of the Christian faith and practices, providing pastoral care and outreach and supporting other charitable causes.

We organise the following activities to enable ordinary people to live out their faith as part of the parish community: worship and prayer; learning about the Gospel, its engagement with the insights and values of contemporary society, and its dialogue with those of others faiths or none; provision of pastoral care for people living in the parish; support for outreach and works of compassion.
