The activities of Heysham Church of the Nazarene are the advancement of the Christian faith, by way of being a loving, caring,dynamic Church empowered by the Holy Spirit, with a passion for the lost and hurting and seeing their lives being transformed from brokenness to wholesome Christlikeness. We work with partners in Gambia and Senegal to help in poverty relief and education projects to elevate suffering of beneficiaries as follow:Access to rural education and madrassa for children of poor families and orphans who have no access to schools, Family Food Parcels, Distributing meat during Qurbani to help poor and needy families during eidul adha feast,Access of water to villages

Outreach programmes,bible studies, prayer meetings and Sunday Church services, Christian annual festivals,visiting the bereaved, celebrating birth, baptisms, practical support with finances, food and clothes and shelter, providing spiritual support to people who are battling with addictions, mental breakdowns, physical illness, domestic violence, and racial prejudice and praying for the sick.

As a local Church we aim to teach and preach the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, that "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." the Bible John 3 v 16. We gather for Bible study, worship and prayer. Support missionaries at home and overseas. Work with children and adults on our local housing estate.
