TO PROMOTE, IMPROVE, DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN PUBLIC EDUCATION IN AND APPRECIATION OF THE ART AND SCIENCE OF MUSIC IN ALL ITS ASPECTS BY THE PRESENTATION OF PUBLIC CONCERTS AND RECITALS AND IN SUCH WAYS AS THE SOCIETY THROUGH ITS BOARD SHALL DETERMINE FROM TIME TO TIME.

The objective of the charity is to bring artists, scientists & educators together to collaboratively promote long-term change in cultural attitudes towards climate change.There are three major activity areas:- organisation of expeditions that incorporate scientific and artistic research- production of art exhibitions, film/media broadcasts, festivals- provision of educational programmes

1)The conservation of birdlife, principally through the maintenance of 6 Nature Reserves.2)Scientific research into birdlife by partaking in National bird surveys, and also organising and undertaking local surveys through a programme of fieldwork, and publishing the results.3)Educating the public about birdlife by organising a programme of speakers.

The choir's purpose if to perform the best choral music at the highest standard to as many people as possible. We promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of choral music in all its aspects, in particular but not exclusively by the presentation of public concerts, largely in East Sussex.

Summer Fair, Christmas Fair, Science & Engineering Fair, Fireworks Night, School Discos, Raffles, Cake Sales, Quiz Nights and other fundraising activities or social events for the School.

The orchestra is established to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of orchestral music in all its aspects by the presentation of public concerts. We generally perform 3 concerts per year at various venues round and about Peterborough, either on our own or in partnership with other musical societies.

Providing musical entertainment to the general public and learning opportunities in the art and science of brass, wind and percussion instruments to all members of the local community, e.g. Children/young people, elderly/older people, people with disabilities and the general public/mankind.

We preserve for the public's benefit the historic structure and environs of Neath Abbey Ironworks, Neath Abbey, South Wales. This involves vegetation control and conservation work.We advance the public's education regarding the heritage and culture, especially engineering and science, of Neath Abbey Ironworks and its environs. This involves community archaeological digs and educational events.

Strategic and applied research in horticultural and environmental sciences is conducted across three themes: Genetics, Genomics and Breeding; Pest and Pathogen Ecology; Crop Science and Production Systems. Delivery of knowledge, publication of results, provision of products and services through focus on translating science into practise.

Conferences & seminars are held on topical issues, after which the appropriate government department is informed of our discussions. We have permanent groups which are concerned with specific subjects i.e. health, education, arts & media, consumer affairs, science & technology, foreign affairs, social employment & housing issues. These groups hold regular meetings.

To advance the education of the public and in particular to promote for the public benefit research into matters of public taxation, public policy, applied economics and political science and to disseminate the useful results thereof.

Undertakes and sponsors environmental research on mollusc related subjects. Publishes results in "Journal Of Conchology" or in the society's magazine "Mollusc World". The journal is the world's oldest continuing publication on the subject. Published twice a year, it contains scientific papers and short communications on molluscs with the emphasis on conservation, biogeography and taxonomy

Our activities include fundraising for the bursary scheme we offer to women studying or aiming to study in non-traditional areas for women. Bursaries are granted across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire. We also deliver outreach and support to organisations helping to promote STEM subjects and careers to girls and women in South yorkshire

Supporting the development of smallholder agriculture and agroforestry systems with the main focus of the work being in Malawi.Supporting the development of clean cooking activities.Supporting development activities with regard to ecosystem service and carbon offsetting.Supporting education and scientific research linked to the above activities

ABA is open to everyone, everywhere, of every ability. Set up to advance the education of the public in general, and members in particular, in the techniques, artistic merit and science of botanical art, to promote a wider interest in the environment, biodiversity and conservation of the botanical world. The charity operates online, holding two digital exhibitions per year plus education sessions.
