The aim of the Earth Science Teachers Association (ESTA) is to support the teaching of earth sciences whether as a single subject such as Geology, or as part of science, geography or other courses. Didcot & District U3a is a learning cooperative of older people enabling members to share educational, creative and leisure activities. This is achieved through speaker meetings,outings and interest groups. First Church of Christ, Scientist, Bedford is organised to promote the understanding and demonstration of the truth as set forth in the Bible and interpreted in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.

The Neonatal Society was founded in 1959 to bring together scientists and clinicians with an interest in the fetus and newborn. The object of the Society is the promotion of Neonatal Science. McCance travel bursaries are available to support researchers who would otherwise be unable to attend the Society's meetings in the UK. The Society hosts four annual commemorative lectures.
