Saving of lives Charities

As funds are available we respond to appeals to support individuals & organisations working both in the UK and overseas for the relief of poverty and famine, for medical research and to support the disabled and for the promotion of the Christian faith through translation and distribution of Bibles and outreach activities. We make donations to benefit people of all ages.

To provide help for exclusively charitable objects as the Trustees in their total discretion determine, with preference to relief of poverty, overseas aid/famine relief, accomodation/housing and environment/conservation/heritage.

Restore is an information and support group for women contemplating breast reconstruction following a breast cancer diagnosis or those who have a faulty gene BRCA. We run Show & Tell events at Hospitals in East Grinstead, Dartford and Worthing where ladies can come along, meet women who have already been through breast reconstruction and see the results of their surgery in the flesh.

To raise funds by means of holding community social events, raffles, coffee mornings, donations from our local Lions wishing well, and assisting with tourism attractions. Funds raised are donated to the North Devon Hospice; Children's Hospice SW; Lynton's Health Clinic, School, Playgroup, Scouts; Devon Air Ambulance; RNLI; Lions Clubs International Global Aid Projects, local residents in need.

The restoration, preservation, repair, maintenance, improvement, beautification or reconstruction of St. Andrew's Church, Sonning in such ways as the charity trustees in their absolute discretion may from time to time determine.

The object of the Team shall be to relieve suffering and distress amongst persons or animals endangered by accident or natural hazards underground by the provision, at the request of the police, of search and rescue for any persons or animals endangered.

Street Pastors is an inter-denominational Church response to urban problems, engaging with people on the streets to care, listen and dialogue. Kettering Street Pastors work in the night-time economy in Kettering, with the support and blessing of the publicans, police & Local Authority.

This year we donated life saving equipment to Castle Street maternity Hospital Colombo. Mainly a premature baby ventilator, Incubator and ten pulse oximeters. In addition we have been supplying dialising catheters and solutions to needy patients with Chronic Kidney disease.

Fitness classes, jumble sales, Christmas bazaar, quiz evenings, birthday parties, funeral wakes, charity coffee mornings, polling station, parish council & parochial church council meetings, tabletop sales, drama group rehearsals, private tutoring, St John Ambulance training and meetings, committee meetings, kitchen hire for artisan bakers, NHS Cardiac Rehab Clinic

Organising social gatherings for Indonesian Muslim Community, organising sport & arts & cultural events, ocassionally organising fund raising to support people in need or victims of natural disasters, providing information about the religion of islam and muslim, and participating in interfaith events (dialogues).

To help serving and retired members of Humberside Police who are in financial difficulty by providing a loan/grant. Grants can also be provied on an altruistic basis is it would help the aforementioned to deal with a particularly difficult time in their lives. The Fund is largely made up of subscriptions from members. Donations by private and public bodies are also very welcome.

We provide help to the elderly and needy people of Warwick, including medical appliances, electrical goods, furnishings, etc. Christmas food parcels for the elderly and assistance to students traveling overseas. We also make contributions to such bodies as the local Hospice, Air Ambulance, and others, including .Lions Club International charities and appeals both in the UK and overseas.

Members are aged from age 8 years old. The children progress through the RLSS and SLSGB awards which allow them to become part of our patrol team who provide water safety cover at various river and lake-based events throughout Wychavon and wider each year. We enter lifesaving competitions, in swimming pool and beach environments. We have a Flood Rescue section which over 18's can train for.

Street pastors work in conjunction with the local authority and the police to help to reduce the levels of crime by patrolling the streets. The public will benefit from a more peaceful environment, in which the community learns to live better in harmony and to resolve problems without violence. The street pastors are volunteers and no charges are made for their services.

The provision of holidays, nursing and other convalescent facilities.

The charity supports a range of good causes with a connection to firefighting and the consequences of fire, such as the rehabilitation of burns victims and injured firefighters, as well as other charitable causes supported by the Lord Mayor of the City of London from time to time.

Stafford Lions engage with their local community to improve the quality of life of many and work in partnership with a wide range of other organisations active in the community. We also assist our international community by working to help conquer blindness, provide youth opportunities, and respond to disaster.Every pound raised goes directly to charity - nothing is taken for administration.

Euro Relief focuses on the prevention or relief of poverty or financial hardship in the United Kingdom, Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria by providing grants and assisting in the provision of items and services to those in need. As well as the assistance of the victims of war or natural disaster, trouble or catastrophe through providing grants to those in need.

The Trustees have discretion to pay or apply the Trust Fund or the income thereof to benefit worldwide disaster funds, the relief of poverty, the advancement of religion in particular in the country of Greece.
